I remember. And we loved it. No home computers, no cellphones, no internet. Mid 70's in my case.

Don't just teach your students to read.
• Teach them to question what they read, what they study.
• Teach them to doubt.
• Teach them to think.
• Teach them to make mistakes and learn from them.
• Teach them how to understand something.
• Teach them how to teach others.

"Birth order refers to the order a child is born in their family; first-born and second-born are examples. Birth order is often believed to have a profound and lasting effect on psychological development. This assertion has been repeatedly challenged.[1] Recent research has consistently found that earlier born children score slightly higher on average on measures of intelligence, but has found zero, or almost zero, robust effect of birth order on personality.[2] Nevertheless, the notion that birth-order significantly influences personality continues to have a strong presence in pop psychology and popular culture.[3][4] " from:

This is a wonderful theory, that really makes sense to me. Wish I had an older Sister to look up to growing up.
@freemo Once a colleague of mine asked if she can borrow the book I'm reading as she thought one of her daughters had recently discovered reading and it would help a lot if she sees her mother reading too. I happily gave her the book even before finishing it. After few days she told me that every night her daughter grabs a book and start to read on seeing her mother read. My happiness knew no bounds :)
