So did some more investigating the damage at my AM Shack here... At a minimum my unun connected to my antenna is fried, as well as my TS-990 transmitter, also fried. I ordered a new unun and will have that installed next week.
Luckily all my VHF/UHF band equipment is fully operational though! So at least I will be on the air locally.
So I can pretty much confirm and guaranteed the damage I'm seeing is from a lightening strike. Despite the damage my lightening arrester did its job. It is showing an open circuit now. I took it apart and can even see scorch marks from the lightning strike on the antenna side of it.
So apparently while Iw as gone for a year, like a dumbass, I forgot to physically disconnect my HF antenna. I had lightening strike at one point and friend several pieces of equipment in my EE lab.. I'm slowly trying to figure out what is and is not broken... but my 10,000$ transmitter is going to need some repair for sure.. Not too happy about any of this.

Its amazing that for all the talk from the DNC supporters about Trumps "poor" response to COVID his approval rating has went UP, not down and his approval rating for handling covid is 60% (a majority of people think he is handling it well).
As much as I hoped, begged, and pleaded with the democrats to get a decent candidate past the primaries so we could have someone better than Trump in office, they failed at that.
I'm sad to say at this point the DNc has done everything in their power to guarantee Trump wins the next election. The election is already over :(

I installed an older-style spinning metal 4TB drive as my backup drive on my system... I missed the sound it makes, so comforting.
So just switched from my manual backup script which i used on btrfs to using btrbk instead.. I must say this tool so far is great! I tried snapper and it was very disappointing, not sure why it seemed to be so popular.
My super fancy new bed arrives today and I'm so excited. California king hybrid bed from Layla.. supposedly the memory foam top is specially designed to be cooling too.
