I love librarians and readers in general. They arent necessarily brilliant mathematicians or revolutionary historians. But they love to learn and evolve and grow and imagine. There arent enough people like that and i love being around them.

It never ceases to amazes how headstrong conspiracy theorists are when they dont even understand basic terminology.

@freemo here is a whole video about the topic with techniques to create the effect

Awl, i just got random spam from asking me to join . This guy is a joke, now i wont sign up just to spite him and show him spam doesnt work.

The last team I worked in, mainly of senior developers, ditched sprints in favour of continuously implementing the backlog and used a shared doc instead of status meetings. We met briefly on zoom 2-3 times a week to discuss blockers etc. and very occasionally to do a retro. Nice.

""Can you fix my issue just really quick?""

You aren't famous until you can search for your feet on the internet and find it.

@freemo

I have just made a Short video on how to change the theme. It is transcoding as I type this.

This is what I like about fedi, a concern / question is raised, and rather than trying to fob people off, you get a response such as this, that explains the issue and suggest possible solutions.

"Though much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are -- our equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find and not to yield." -- Ulysses

I decided that these merry days leading to Christmas, when we’re infused with positive sentiments and hope for humanity, are as good as any other to readโ€ฆ ’s Mein Kampf.

๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Not really! In fact, I’m a bit embarrassed to leave my e-book reader lying around so that others can see what I’m readingโ€ฆ But my Theory of Reading actually supports and encourages reading anything that has been very influential (for good or for ill) regardless of its literary merits, its veracity, its applicability today, or its moral qualities.

Not to put them all necessarily in the same bucket, but I have read The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Communist Manifesto and Atlas Shrugged โ€” and I would read The Bible and The Quran too: all of them that are ( in a way or another) wrong, false, corrosive, harmful, evil, racist, sexist, pro-violence, or pro-war โ€” or even all of those things at the same time!

Granted: may well be the wrongest among the wrong booksโ€ฆ And in a way, that contributes to making it โ€œusefulโ€ as a reading.

Quote from The Witcher Season 2 (no plot revealed)

Geralt: How's your room?

Ciri: It has rats

Geralt: Thats a good sign, it means its one of the warm ones.

Sharing time... What was the last windfall you expierenced?

@olamundo

Healthy heart, for what? To live longer? On fruit and veggies? Can you even call that being alive? If I were on a diet of fruit and veggies the last thing I’d want is to live longer :)

@caranmegil

@olamundo @freemo but the American Cheesesteak Association recommends 4 cheesesteaks a day to maintain a physique

Do assassins eat special diets to ensure they don't have to fart when they are sneaking up on someone?
