Maybe the Dems should focus less on how they can spin “business as usual” to appeal to millennials and zoomers, and focus more on actually sticking up for working people and marginalized people.

they're doing some shenanigans that amount to training a neural network except they're not really trying to create a network they're just using the numerical optimization tools to perform automatic level of detail cleanup. the process seems to involve taking random render samples of lighting and the model and then moving parts of the smaller mesh around with the goal of being visually identical to the original input and perceptively enforces this.

also seems that it will consider the normal mapping during this process meaning it will evolve a detail map that pairs with the smoller mesh to make it look right.

kinda looks like it would make that Instant Meshes project very very useful.

@freemo @georgetakei Me too. And it really grates that we're paying (through taxes), the DNC/RNC to limit our options.

Yeah, indeed, and we are only getting little bits of information, thing is if people realise how big tech is working they would if they have any sense stop using it.

I know some places have banned tik tok, but doing that without explanation or providing evidence could be counter productive.

We need to end our reliance on china to build our tech and start building in friendly countries even if that means prices go up.

But in following the responses, I catch cool stuff from RedsRhetoric and so many others. In fact, one of the provisions of qoto.org I got from @freemo via email, "It's OK to join if you are just a fan of STEM, so long as you aren't a Flat-earther or such."

#UFoI has been quiet lately as I look, unless I'm missing stuff. My forays into political talk leaves people confused and angry for some reason. I wave friendly greetings to the whole political spectrum and everyone gets mad at me anyway.
