I was out and about yesterday walking through Philly and open carrying (picture for reference). For the first time i had to walk through about a dozen cops all standing around talking. I figured one of them might say something, but nope, not even a suspicious glare.
When it comes to guns I'm liking Philly and PA more every day since I became a licensed holder.
I havent not fact checked this. Apparently the attached letter was found in some rubble in Rasha and was written by a 10 year old boy who was found dead.
Translation:
“Please don’t cry for me, as it would make me sad. I hope my clothes can go to those in need, and my accessories to Rahaf, Lana, and Batool. The bead boxes should go to Batool. As for my monthly allowance of 50 shekels, I want half to go to Rahaf and the other half to Ahmad. I’d like Batool to have my toys. Lastly, please don’t shout at my brother Ahmad. Please follow these wishes.”
@bibliolater Former QOTO user @peterdrake made [a game](https://redslash12.itch.io/gerrymander) on this theme a while back. Not much replay value but a neat puzzle to solve once.
Israel apologists have been amazingly defensive about its latest acts of terrorism in Lebanon. It’s extremely important to them that everyone believe it’s awesome and good to turn electronic devices into thousands of bombs placed throughout unsuspecting civilian populations and then turning around in a day or two and bomb them without mercy.
Major update on Thursday with significant downtime, everyone please be aware! #QOTO
GREAT change is approaching. NIST will standardise prohibition of requirement of composing passwords from various character styles, and requirement for periodic password changes. These are harmful and obsolete rules. Now they will be treated as a cybersecurity weakness https://pages.nist.gov/800-63-4/sp800-63b.html
@freemo ahh i can almost taste it from those descriptions! don’t think i’ve seen coconut cream on sale around here; i’ll have to look around and give this a go. now that i think about it, i still have a big bag of hemp hearts from when i used to eat them a lot, but have fallen out of the habit! almond milk sounds like a good flavour combo to pair with the hearts as a starting base anyway.
I started maki g my own meal replacement drinks. It is designed tonperfectly give 1/3 of a days nutrients on a keto diet, almost no carbs, high fat, medium protein. My idea is i can just drink tbese 2 to 3 times a day and get everything i need.
I also left out almost all thr carba sonif i want some carbs i can supplement it with a small snack if i want.
It is suprisingly tasty too.
IMO high functioning (level 1) autism doesnt exist in much the same way that someone who is a bit sad from time to time doesnt have high-functioning depression. They represent perfectly healthy and normal people.
That said their expiernces of struggling to relate to people is very real. This isnt autism however, this is the rest of society (the majority) with crippling personality disorders instead.
The problem with psychology is it assums the majority represent normalcy.
Just a reminder, the exploding pagers is another in a **long** line of **terrorist** campaigns by Israel. It is counter to international law, and further highlights their complete disregard for the safety of innocent people.

Can't find a source or the exact wording but this inspired by a #quote
As a second degree mason (so very new to #Freemasonry ) I have to say, I am very impressed with the quality of the people and their stated values. I particularly like the requirement for study of religion and the study of the sciences and arts. Very few organizations are wise enough to put importance on both.
The requirements to join Freemasonry I find particularly noble:
* Must be of good moral repore
* Must study and learn the arts & sciences (Math, Astronomy, music, language, and logic are specifically listed).
* Must believe and study god or a higher power.
* Must treat his fellow man with compassion and love
The way scientists pull information out of multiple sources is soooo cool sometimes...
I'm not a hhuge fan of Jordan Peterson, but this one is spot on. Not so much about him not using trans people's pronouns, I dont agree with that. But his point about being willing to offend people is quite valid. The issue with not using the proper pronoun is **not** because you might offend someone, it is because caring about people is not the same thing as not offending someone. Not using their desired pronouns comes from a place of not caring about someone, using them is not an attempt to avoid offense, its to show them you care.
