On of the side-achievements or bonus challenges to gardening is perhaps to get others involved - though for personal gardens that would be a challenge but OCCASIONALLY maybe maybe for things like soil digging / potting from plastic pots into ground etc then get children and adults to help (a way to send messages to them that "I'll be doing X in 30mins" helps and is maybe main thing unless you have children always nearby playing and can allow them to help. Probably a text message "wanna get the kids to watch for 30mins while I do xyz?)

Basically if possible to make it into a bit of mini-event or bigger thing people can chip in with you to feel like they are doing their gardening bit even if they don't have a garden...

A bonus is the ambiance / aura of doing such things...

You get a gold star from me which will be called children / community improvement!

(Planting those mind seeds too and allowing practice like repotting, digging, painting, list goes on!)

- At the beginning is more the aesthetics or assumptions.... hopes..

-then there is the dispelling of the aesthetics or assumptions.... hope is less...

- then there is the realising of truth (that they are not 100% what you imagined or want them to be) or copy of want you want in your life... even some ugly trial error habits and details which are also part of growing, they come and go

- then for those that go a bit more of the distance, a great growing to like each other... and even polarity no matter who/what the person (the art of growing to like anyone since there are so many ways)

- then realising after years that it takes years and they are / were better than you imagined and just naturally we can't living in each others heads and shoes to realise it all so being easy helps...

Moral of story - Friendships is for life in whatever way and level - disconnection is for those that don't really understand or enjoy the ups and downs and differences... and also can't stand up for themselves often (runners)

Stick around, wait around when you don't have to and you'll be surprised what friendship means and how many different forms can come usually from you being ok with yourself first....

I guess this is a double-check on consumption and data traffic....

Stuff that never switches and constantly is demanded... this is a type of death for what I think is unmeasured and deliberately less clear in it's calculation and infrastructure...

Probably similar to cars - once a system supports making these things, burning lots of energy and 'supplying' the waste then we can easily sit and we download, and delete, we think it's ok to drive sports cars and switching economy classes.

And now our media and new structures are uploading / syncing / streaming / crazy lots of things for crazy more things. Arguably extra things. Not saving planet, and perhaps could kill it less if not saving.

Becoming more disposable <--- that's cheap for the world like throwing away energy instead of being a bit mindful about it (conscious).
Especially making mistakes and redoing whole massive backups / files/processor intensive videos etc etc

New generations are less likely to remember or understand how basic it was back then and how it was such a major achievement just to get things to talk to each other and now it's like always talking and chattering computers.

How humbling 1 movie a day was (if you really tried). You were happy for each mp3 (not whole discographies)... wasn't even possible with dial-up for many things, so you had to choose your media! This had benefits but also I know I'm not perfect in what I'm saying and everything is skew or catching up or wasn't perfect then... but the fact other people put money into it perhaps shows something... where it was more of a geeky educational things before...

The lightweight net can be possible. And for me the possibility is more about funnelling work back into the human side of things (teaching / distribution) via live audio chats and real brain changing memorable / engaging things.

If we could keep it at megabytes and Gigabytes then we could economise like driving a small car rather than tank everywhere and wondering why America itself or American companies are doing war / buying out everything.

If we're always upgrading or increasing according to Maximums then the ratio of worth to humanity is questionable and can be less since often humans DO MORE with less as they appreciate it.
(what we are doing now in practice with the data and disposed bits are often waste or more precisely unconscious/less conscious spending of time / data streams)

If load and speed is used/abused then we become more dependant and our own time is also a cost factor in doing things from Bytes and Kb's per file (floppy disk for programs) to Mb's and Gb's (software, games movie downloads) to Tb's to Pb to Eb to Zb and beyond... and so you see we do similar things but ratio increases even for games we still would be happy playing or more creative in... yeah eye candy but also too many army games massive in their installations and online gaming...

...and who is supplying the infrastructure?

The people we don't like mostly!
Tech which is from corrupt people and from cost we haven't really computed in the doing of things - this would be a good study but I already know keeping massive operations running (even if you don't see the data going back and forth) is never going to be good when it comes to consumption of energy and time (at the same time ALL THE TIME).

My final point is that at least before it was turned off (almost as a whole structure or as a habit. And now we have energy drain all the time for questionable uses and filesizes for everything in every way people could find).

Minimal for the human way and ecological.
For #climatechange or whatever. Any of the above reasons are a more of a measured way than assuming its ok to consume all you can eat #computer streams, #data, #web. #technology etc..

What do you think about filtering #Mastodon users by their cities / locality in the interface? (much like Geocities had?)
(and having it optional as visibility via checkbox option)

I can see clear uses +/- (and both at the same time)... but also highlights for me ---> "How to defend use-cases when a tool allows both good / bad usage"

So in this case locality-based interface it could be
--> (positive) for sharing and finding people instantly
--> (negative) for ****ing and finding people instantly !!! <---

I think that applies to ANY of our advanced tools!!!!

I was thinking this while re-visiting some of my own pages of learning (freeschool) thinking after I find something great again which came from working on it in the past, often burst-mode working (press the CPU button!) and then closing of that topic very satisfied... and then leaving them there almost alone... only to find how easily I can enjoy them again and even link to them today!

I often thank myself how I managed to centralised the collect things in one place in such detail both for eye-candy or relativity.

Even a combination of these....

1- JUST tear some bit of of magazine or even cut into 10cm lengths… bingo….
WORK with supermarket magazines, newspaper etc

2- Leaves (because sometimes it’s right there staring you in the face and is clean piled on each and could just be lightly sprayed / dipped in water)

3- Cutting t-shirts or old clothes for mini-towels - really re-usable and slightly wet can even be nice

4- Hose-pipe from inside toilet or spray gun from toilet tank + towel just for drying.

5- Scrap paper / printer paper - a luxury!

6- Sponge / something soft

WHATEVER the experiment or test you ave to do just not the diesel-smoking industry-BURNING lightweight toilet transport BEING thermodynamically carried from one side to the other 100's/1000's of km's with a variety of transport!

Problems of selling yourself and selling the world...

1. You have many assumptions instead of concrete study about money / banks / economics... Not your fault but many things about the game you are in they didn't want to teach you so you get sucked in...

2. Somebody else, far far away chooses what to value - not you. They value some things low and some thing things not at all (what they don't care about = 0 or almost minimal money to these things like really caring)

3. What you can't see mathematics and deep business tricks, finance, % etc) hurts you and whatever money you hold. It's a rigged game (it's made unfair). Devaluation is integrated into the system so you are losing with time or artificially taking from others (%). All of which is a artificially made bubble.

4. Business morals are different to your morals (some business doesn't have morals! It's just called business!)

5. Business tries sells everything to try stay alive (a virtual name or entity is different to a human - it's almost faceless so can sell bad things in bad ways with just a logo not a real face).

6. Taxes from each business goes mainly to wars. Making weapons or using them,...
If people are not accepting to live for each other then it's a soft war (from banks % we are losing all our energy and reasoning. Business is about keeping us losing and paying for way)

6. You are selling you body which doesn't seem right. To do activity seems ok but for money seems a bit wrong or many ways can go bad (like pimping someone or slavery!)
Maybe even your body / energy is not for you to 'sell' to other men or women! (to sell you body in some places this is called prostitution. For money or food, or shelter it can be still prostitution when there are so many bad exchanges for very little morality . humanity or exchange the exchange of body / time / morality for more than just infinite %.

Good for me and everyone to focus on what we can do.
Best for me is not to ' ' hate ' ' on anyone as it is sometime a lonely road whichever field you're in...

My angle is this... (just FYI and no competition)...

Working on people accepting people. To *practise* better psychological management [emotional balance and logic ratio]

for example I suggest T-group meetings)... and I can host / facilitate.... doesn't even have to be long, some reflective questions going around the room and then asking what others think about thoughts they heard...

Everything seems to fall under these things at the end (people's performance and decision-making) even if you give them almost the best tool ever... Feelings and emotions take over... Fear... etc...

Practising communication get over fear. To over-power people so they CAN accept understanding peers, not accusing, encouraging measured compassion, permission asking etc.

Training this in T-group is one big key element that I'm not sure any tool or many people are doing as a practice or teaching / hosting.

I suggest you try me, Make 15mins-30mins, hear me out (audio chat is what I recommend) + Small group welcome also even to pot shot some questions at me.

The trick perhaps is upgrade what we don't do. This increase our awareness and toolset... and easy-goingness... which all other humans appreciate wherever you go,,.

I'm ready just set time or just say 'now' anytime - for me this stuff is easy and we all are doing what we can :)
