Vote or Not - What's the middle?

It's the hard middle to balance or try to do that I think is as important to falling for choosing only this or that way.

I'm stuck in a loop. Naturally and by-design (by others)...

I am looking to exit to better loops like better addictions in life, as better ways of living others like you / others can offer me.

I think we can more responsible for each other's opportunities and activity towards offering better / more reasoned ones...

because there is a better way already...

(use filtering sites... redirect.invidious.io)

...for 0 adverts / less bad code!

It's a loss of our efforts not to...
Easy fix / can be optional replacement by Mastodon itself...

I wish I could pick and choose features in Mastodon instead of worry for asking for features and perhaps getting upgrades that might change other things too much.

● So to make posts self-destructive for example would make for a lot of clarity and even save some space.

I could set a default expiry time (especially if it didn't involve upgrading Mastodon to change existing requirements - like a plugin or just checkbox to enable feature).

● I think newer Mastodon's have this but haven't see screenshot -
anyone know / seen how it works?

Mark for deletion after 1 week etc... would helps

Making Public Timeline presentation of each profile better is the aim here,.

People hiding their shit replies from main timeline to leave their best ones... even after a week could help see the best stuff

Users could go around deleting and pruning timeline from time to time but really setting it from beginning makes sense as that is time *you know* your message is not meant to last...

They also think that Bluesky will be able to post nasty stuff to everyone, even those who aren't connected to anyone on Bluesky.

They think the same about Threads, because in their heads, they're still on Twitter where the secret-sauce algorithm would probably allow for that to happen.

Hi @freemo, questions about dealing with federation from more commercial entities:

█Can it be possible to continue as it is now and then opt-in from preferences? To switch on per user each as the main thing to do with federating with BlueSky and Thread.net.
Perhaps more will come but these 2 for now since they are especially commercial / less like Mastodon.

An all or nothing switch, started "off" first to continue without being embedded / scraped, and then each user decides to change, not not.

So before more happens with more commercial versions of Mastodon etc (essentially making for hybrid Fediverse perhaps), I would le want to see if those 2 things were possible?

It's amazing how fast a person is online when it's something I or others are doing for you!

This comment is not made negatively - I'm glad for very real reasons but most is laziness or excuses for not wanting to explore the unknown. I measure this by how fast people are (sorry you can't hide this!) and how online and not really busy they are even with concessions about that!)
This is just to show, similar to picture, that actually you do have time, you do squeeze things in and you do see the point... once you have the will or incentive carrot. But sometimes more logic and love needs to be used... almost for halloing worldwide peace to happen (as general as that sounds it comes from smaller working together).

So dear friend or potential friends...

Let all that jazz about being busy be seen as simply a carrot thing... and it's not that I knock that for yourself but the bar can be a bit too low where ONLY you do things for carrots and not when I or others ask for something and just generally giving freely to the universe is not seen as credible or why as reason (which I hope I provide now).

The picture is not to insult you but to say that if you act like an animal (only via carrot) then that is what we become.

Somewhat in crapitalism we have to train ourselves out of capitalism and into the Fediverse as real alternative! for everything!

Don't let anything get in the way of progress (increment please) and rather than blocking just start / continue in small amounts...

Often people assume they have to do all of it now or do the same like me. Noooo.... Just starting is good enough and believing in people and then measuring on what really happens rather than aesthtics.

🔔 then click bell 🔔 button which appears only after follow is accepted.

█Instant notifications means posts are not piled up so much or lost in 100's of other follows- buried in the timeline... they are more of a priority or valued seeing the pop up and disappear quite discreetly and without interaction needed with popup.

█Then when bored go to browse timeline for the other people you probably have forgotten or don't have time for!

█So this way you read 1 by 1 as it pops up for a few seconds on screen, and ignore or reply. This helps considering replying in the now sense and not later.

█No need catch up later so much, read now and while people need each other / don't want to forget !
