I asked RMS about the merits of "Humanising the Movement" - primarily to allow and encourage more audio interaction for those who enjoy it - not everyone but audio messages as an outlet and expression for people and growth and improvement-as-we-go in expression that naturally happens in community practising it!

A website can easily allow people to choose to record a message and make the process easier than email (as fans, feedback and expression of topics).
Email will still work for those that really want to Richard Stallman (for example in this case) or to anyone or who is checking on his behalf. I suggested myself to sort things with disclaimer put before that "someone else will be trusted to listen to their email and will also will be disposed of after making notes... because I have done this before and can process 100's a day and make notes / reply fast etc etc showing results and trust... but also it could be his staff or whoever taking this idea - mostly I have more time than almost all the Fediverse who have a job that takes up all their time.

Something more human is also what RMS needs from a largely disconnected / email / text-only movement he / we built up or ended up in so that can be part of something more human, more than not.

Community and Communication go together so intrinsically.

I can filter and note down various notes and make summary... from chalking up another 'thanks' email to 10 people mentioning the same thing and don't have Facebook account (RMS has only a 1 way only account on Fediverse) - so audio or more ways might be 100% better than ignoring and even being overwhelmed by emaill...

ALSO SOME "TIME" METRICS
- 5 emails = 5mins minimum (maybe 20minutes)
or
- 2 audio messages 5mins each but better understanding and better relationship in the end
(even if it's just a 1 ways audio not needed a reply)

I tried to say to RMS "you are behind on emails as you are the bottleneck and only one answering"

in 10minutes audio you often are actually better off explaining in this medium, because in audio you can say a lot more in 1 min than typing text / reading text.

I get more info sometimes and their tone and perspective where email sometimes score Near-0 for understanding "Where the fuck is this person wanting to go or wanting from me?" 10 emails can take more than 10 mins (for each writer and reader which was what was happening with me and RMS and quickly going backwards in progress and repetitive... also fragmented and had to remind him stuff...

So as audio form, if it could be made much easier to send (like 1-click like Telegram, Signal) with near-0 work (like 1 website or copying what speakpipe.com has) then we can really make progress and have variety for many types of people.

This was what my audio suggested to Richard
to check out speakpipe.com and imagine some tweaks.

Voice messages could fill up in a directory and I could filter them!

So I would like to solve this / practise better and more people doing basically better than 1min!

Most my life it feels I have found all these types of people or it's most of humanity like talking through computers - just different 'personalities' or different 'species' like cat and dog that don't understand what humanity is or needs, they are almost different animals! But practising better I think can help enjoy the right things again... rather than run away!

This audio might be a project idea for you or a Techie who can set up the same as SpeakPipe.com

All so it can be a human movement for humans !

At least 1 person or 1 setup of it as a test to see what I mean...

Because without humanisms I'm quite sure nothing works and misses the whole point and reinforced differences - and more importantly, without audio, it skips the improvement factor of "as-we-work" human voice and humanism effects - we are not improving without it in plain or 'rich' text!.

I guess most computer-heads just won't get some of these paragraphs... like a kind of cat or dog basically !

Modem speeds would fix and return our focus in a lot ways healthier.

McDonalds fast food / broadband doesn't help when we don't have better things to do and eat too much data... (therefore energy... time... and storage... components.... and so on... and demand resources = from war basically ...).

I think we have to accept and even enjoy im-perfect games between us.

Like communication on the #Fediverse (anything deep we must expect to falter, be mistaken, offended etc) because the objective is not to "win" against in 1 go or perfectly but with each let each other continue communication and ping pong with nice vibes while trying to fit into each others games, some we have already in our life and maybe some new ones.

The gaps or imperfection allow these mini games of life interlock like cogs or weaves to make a fairly strong process or basket!

Else we are playing the wrong game, I think. Chess is only good if you see the learning as opportunities (by either player, not just winning), and collecting those gems... else beating people up (by skill or chance) and even becoming a champion, of anything, still has it's limits and is the same lonely in the end if not together with people.

Just ask me as I'm all these things occasionally, but really would rather play these more imperfect mini-games of real life and get better at relativity between us as it feels we are losing time and not doing this at all in jobs and is more "hi, bye" or "hired hands".

The warmth and real progress comes from actually caring about each other, not just a man-made more-static game.

"Free" has about 10+ meanings just to give a bit of quick scope and more deeper dive below...

"Free" has almost too many meanings possible, so makes it less useful / too general as a multi-used word and increases chances of misinterpretation with it's broadness and commonality.

One meaning of "free" may include freedom but that is also ambiguous since humans on some level are bound or tied to many things in life so it's hard to know which is inferred.
Saying "Free Software" help but could also mean Free Price more than "Liberty to do as you wish with the software".

CAN WE REALLY BE MORE FREE IF YOU AND I WANTED?
In many ways humans are never truly free but this is just for those that might argue free or liberty doesn't exist but it certainly does since you or I individually or groups of people can limit or diminish freedoms / liberty ourselves physically or through software with conditional forces.

For example, it could be Mankind's endevour to make Freedom a priority rather than Mass Profits or Prostituting life for money. the focus could be to give / love , but it's more sell / extract.

Saying "Free Software" helps but still can be ambiguous or depend on the context and education of the reader... so again relying on chance quite a bit...

Saying "Libre" has the added benefit of:
1 - sounding and said in foreign way and thus being more signifiant in the sentence
- and as uncommon word becomes more likely questioned and less assumed to what it, especially if unaware. (With "free" you can easily assume you know and assign it a meaning incorrectly to what someone says, without the nuance of liberty as the end goal. But saying Libre you can't get away with that)

Libre makes it sound like Libertie in French (English is a mix of French, German and many others!) so makes sense also for those that learned French (100% a mandatory 2nd language in all English secondary / high schools for at least 2 years)

This is also a reason why online fans (true people) turn sour.

It's not just that the fan is crazy or idols are either....

When communication stops 'coincidently' when questioned about their usage of what they are opposite against... then trouble can start to build, as people build on problematic platforms and methods. Again opposite to what THEY talk opposite against.

Even down-to-earth people who have experience in schools and tech (MIGHT MENTION ACCOUNT HERE BUT FEEL IT WILL PUBLICISE THEM INSTEAD) who spending their whole account complaining, claiming to represent or search for better ways and want to practice other principle(s)... BUT SIMPLY DON'T !

THEY ALSO GIVE IN AND USE BAD THINGS! 🤦

Some fans forget these people or the wrong, but I think true fans to better ways (while not expecting perfection) can legitimately hold people accountable and yes try to do things themselves if not with hypocrites (people that talk only to use you).

If you complain about #AI or BIGTECH #Apple #Spotify BUT THEN USE THEM FOR YOUR PODCAST - YOUR CRITICISM AND FLACK IS MEASURABLY JUSTIFIED - MEASURABLY.

We need others to check our own principles and claims... Often it's not terribly hard and if you fall into the 'I don't have time' excuse (which is a mixture of other things which is why we need others to help us get into better multiplayer loops) then take the flack willingly... because we can see remotely you obviously have a lot of time, and do a lot of the same mono-stuff

(if we are to solve anything / do better practices, otherwise carry on you hypocrite).

Not just using people and throwing them after measurable critique and mutual principles are presented well enough (not hate).
