What I'm trying to clear now is if (probably) you are talking in the strictest sense of scraping possibility (like maybe you can never trusting your instance not to scrape and ability somewhere at some point in the chain not to be scraped)

or if you mean that even the normal trust and normal working (if we assumed instance and chain is 100% true and doing good) that still there is my "Followers-only" can be seen by the outside assuming scrapers take what they can get their hands on easily.

Overall, if my chain is ok, then "Followers-only" should got to my followers ONLY and not be scrapeable as easily?

So like you said... it actually goes to everyone and then they choose to respect notation or disrespect it?

I thought it goes *just* to my list of followers... so only I know who they are and seems that would be how it works "Followers only"... but from what you said it's 'suggested' (to public?) and then people respect it or not?

Other than people doing more special ways I'm still not sure if Follower only is same as public pretty much? (through usual follow ways, I know there are other ways where it's all or nothing perhaps)

LEADERS.... I COULD BE ONE OF THEM!... Maybe you too? (what do you bring to the table?) 

Leaders I respect in the first place taking it on the role (not just from empty ego or pure-blaggers) but really reasoned leaders and being a bit daring too is part calculated effort and involvement of almost everyone genuine.

So in comparison I take on a leader role in this post (virtually) and in my head as that is what is needed to start, and you as a follower can confirm and add to that weight (by commenting ideally or adding bell notification to get posts more immediately in respect to some level of importance and compounding that - rather than compounding nobody).

By all means be leader but if not stepping up - you need to allow someone else for a bit, so almost why not me for a bit without answering purely with negatives - see the positives ! Ask and you shall get -

Even if you would call me leader now, (which I'm not trapping you by asking you to say it aloud) still you would imagine others or yourself in a pyramid of leader or learning to consult like formation of planes in the air ✈️ while they scout and discuss stuff)... yes all very metaphorical unless we try it.

So let me say I WANT TO LEAD!
And let you lead too while keeping my logical side of moderation in that... and happy to say of my lacking... since amazingly I know I'm imperfect but really together we can crack it.

And I will accept being wingman, and as the wingman (any gender) this has sometimes the clarity (and not) to mix with another leader's clarity to contrast or purify testing the right move (or both ways), again together!
(we're not against each other but together and with our sharpness in whatever way testing it all out, and you give us feedback).

@Leisureguy @wetshaving Hi, 3 points maybe of some service...

1/ Over time it's important if the screw on the handle screws itself off (or wears out) as some handles seem to be mental but are not (plated plastic or lookalikes) so if you are unscrewing it on and off, say for cleaning or travel and just over time, it can just round off and no longer be screwable to the head!

2/ Cut-throats might also be a bit better (uses same disposable razor blades if this is similar) because the hair doesn't get stuck in the pictured type and not just open blade you can swish more easily in a cup.

3/ Note, cleaning not with the fingers too much or wiping not only as it's sharp but maybe the strip on the edge wears out... no sure... but for what's pictures you'll need a paper clip for dislodging the hair eventually especially as you shave the edge build up and compact with hair..

Posting "Followers Only" to protect posts from scraping?... somewhat? 

Google scrapes all public posts on Fediverse.

Yes I was shocked to hear that until someone said and showed me (I'm encouraging you to search or dox yourself by searching).

All users... from Mastodon's developers... Admin's of instances... User's everywhere... have responsibility... and if truly the 'alternative' they will not let commercialism take over and simply harvest here *unchallenged / unsaid*.

So maybe this will help Mastodon not be scraped onto Search by choosing "Followers only" to filter who it goes to (for some posts, or you decide which types of posts at whatever status...)

Mastodon's developer @Gargron told me (years back) that it's not for him to "tell" or even recommend people not to use Google / Youtube links... (we have for example which be honest is much better now then when I asked him)... but any who not ACTIVE IN BEING AGAINST / WON'T PUT A SIGN on their instances etc so not working against this and even helping if it's so clear they are scraping commercially from non-commercial Fediverse, Mastodon, Lemmy, Friendica, etc...

So then we should anyway do something ourselves in posting more consciously and bio description to say "no"...

"NO CONSENT TO COMMERCIAL SCRAPING" or choose whatever words as cover your back more CLEARLY / legally / etc.

Overall it would help if everyone did it or made it clear which side they are against on the:

Another more real example than the above (which is a moral story I guess of never giving in more than anything) is one of physics or time... and natural death. PEOPLE MUST DIE EITHER WAY.

So one can say death is needed, as a moral thing but also as a time passing... so killing those who want to die (old) or want to have a purpose (saving others or lightening the boat so it less-likely sinks) is not a bad idea / is a wanted agreed. Call it Euthanasia sometimes... but natural death too mixed in...

I liked the story but reality is better and good once you accept it's harshness AND paradoxes like born to die :D
