Speedy reply from users can seem aggressive but are not always.

People can write fast or a lot and it's not always emotional over-kill either ... it's just very fast reply and nothing to worry about!

experience for you can be (especially for me) that I reply very quick if online and that I don't delay or even let it have a chance.

█ I do re-write it and sometimes over-write... but it's neutral / practical etc and not emotional.

█ I do write longer... but it's not against you but working for something usually we both / all agree with.

█I think those faster, or giving more time or more dedication. often and historically seem the one with 'issues' or attacking others... But no, save this post and see the bullet points above!

We're also part of lots of solutions so we can't bash people while needing to remind people isn't great either (and I'm good at that so once you answer a few things I'll be gone but drag it out knowingly and you'll be doing yourself a disservice)

Don't forget speed is essential not to lose track and tick things off (like if people agree or not)-

Summary
So while I don't mean 'write it emotionally' all no without thinking I think it is MUCH better to get better fast rather than lost heat and relativity, losing connection, forgetting...

AND of course having fun with more diverse types of people. EXPECT DIFFERENCES! The Ultra-Fast and the slower... But don't ignore... this generates feelings.

Thanks

THEY REALLY DIDN'T WANT THE DATA PUBLIC - NewTube

Wait, what? (screenshot #1)

Do I read this correctly: Artists submit their work for an auction, and if they're selected and the painting sells, they get between 0% and 15% of the selling price.

Oh, they list "benefits" (screenshot #2). Let's see.

> All selected artists will be included in our robust promotional campaigns.

Oh, you'll use my art in an ad campaign for free. Awesome. I'm gonna be famous.

> Artists will receive bidder information from their sold artwork after the Auction.

Do we get their cell number and the name of the school attended by their children? I can't wait to stalk them.

> All artist applicants will have their work seen by local art-world luminaries who jury the work for inclusion consideration.

Sweet, a jury of local randos will get to see my painting.

> Your contribution as an Auction Artist directly supports ArtSpan’s programs, and has a positive impact on our local art community.

Sounds like an ineffective way for artists to give their money to other artists.

You know what, I'll skip this and focus on making art.

Perhaps truest in the increasingly modern-day type of context (unknowing / not knowing at lot in real-time)...

█ "We don't know anything
(we have to trust / take paid people's word for it)
█ don't have much real access
█ Those that do are under a lot of pressure, financial stresses, strong-arming
█ We have old data

I would include AI in the initial quote sentiment that ignorance is by the masses yes but also of those involved and line managers themselves who don't know really what's going on. (Business Science and Art of Deception)

Silence, often as violence and abuse...

Silence as violence and abuse:

Examples:

█ People who have power and chosen responsibility but misuse their position or don't fulfil it staying silent when they know of the wrong for waay too loong and don't help improve things also.

█ Those who represent / speak for others, but choose not to put themselves at risk and leave others waiting in vain.

█ People who avoiding answering the truth and further cover up things, not only by not being transparent (or even saying why not transparency) but even adding layers.

█ Self-denial or feeling of shame which becomes hidden violence, even after self fear, it becomes negligent over time and lying to themselves or others as abusive stakes only get higher. Negligence.

█ We all have power and I think we all abuse it when deliberately being non-players... like taking away each others voice in order for it not happen or effect us.

AI = Artificial Increase / pushing up prices... Arbitrary Increase for profit...

AI helps 'Artificially' increase prices and it's all to maximise profits for them more than us.

To force people to pay more using whatever Tech that will help them.

(Kind of like IBM helping track / count people in the genocide, though no proof my side and speculation probably that there could be such coldness of selling tech for whatever reason.)

I believe already this is arbitrary increase is already happening but with AI make doom quicker...

Basically as demand increases so does price but way deeper than that.

Will be worse IF domestic levels of people accept it into their homes and hand over their data and daily usage habits a bit like Facebook did / does... < = = all priceless survey type stuff for the AI suppliers allowed to see what you're using while you to use their 'services'.

AI = Another Invasion
or
AI = Arbitrary Increase

Arbitrary Increase is mankind's doom,..

█▄ike your local supermarket when you buy lots of the same item ( 🔔 this tells them it's too cheap' 🔔 )

█▄ike when you're booking your flight tickers for airplanes 🛩️ :kirby_fly: and ticket prices creep up on the sister sites strangely, because they know what you're looking for now and prices go up as time passes and you search more
(They see what you need and push prices up everywhere so you have no choice on all sites which is why you do better to pay quicker than 'shopping around')

█ Clever AI... working behind the screen (for the the company people) to make targetting easier... while people think it's faster for them (maybe for a quick second but not long-term).

█ Sentiments here of 'sale' when it's not really a sale. Also I worked in supermarket and shocking how things increase (and seeing all the old tickets for same products even a month back... much cheaper and "sale" only after pushing up prices!)

Does anyone know how to get rid of the 'Log in with Google' pop ups in firefox?
The default advice is to (cough) log into your google account and change a setting. Right. I don't have a damn google account and I'm not getting one just to turn off google?
I tried an addon 'stricly block popups' or similar name, but it was horribly broken - it also began by white-listing every site I hate - including google, bing, facebook, twit and others! Anyhow, even with those out of the way it was buggy junk.
There must be one that works without nuking everything (I log into jitsi with github - no other way except fb or goog).
Anyone?

Frozen fruit and berries were in 600 gram bags. Now they are 400 grams, but the bags look the same. And the Weasels *also* raised the price 2 dollars and the shops have the nerve to call it a sale when it's *only* 1 dollar more and for the 1/3 smaller size!
Fine. I won't buy them any longer.
I will redouble my efforts to freeze plums, cherries and blackberries from the yard in season. I will buy clearance citrus and grapes and freeze them myself. They can pound sand up you know where.
Ditto for mushrooms. I normally just freeze a few Pines (matsutake) and eat the others I forage, but now I'm going to freeze morels, chanterelles and sweet tooths as well. King boletes even grow right in my yard.
More foraging. More leaning on friends hunting (I butcher). I'm nearly meatless anyhow.
I will push back!
We have sky high food inflation in canada and the supermarkets are having record profits, but they tell parliament it's just a coincidence.

If you don't spend time thinking about how your plans will fail, then they are sure to.

Also as better defence from humans having to hunt humans as form of co-operation and compliance. Else we will get caught elsewhere and less mutually working for people we don't like working for, doing things we don't really want to, creating what we don't really like.

"For months, Houston police have been citing and arresting local volunteers for the radical act of feeding the needy. Now the city is facing a lawsuit alleging that its crackdown on charitable giving violates the First Amendment."

"Randy Hiroshige, a Texas Civil Rights Project attorney, says the issue isn't just about handing out sandwiches; it's about the government trying to suppress political speech.

"They're a protest group," Hiroshige says of Food Not Bombs. "They want to be visible, and the reason they conduct their food sharing is to show the public what it looks like when a community looks out for each other's needs and really provides mutual aid to one another.""

"Similar cases have popped up elsewhere. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit ruled in 2018 that distributing food was "expressive conduct" protected under the . That decision was a response to a lawsuit by the Food Not Bombs chapter in Fort Lauderdale."

Or just tell me no! It's ok won't bug you :)

Here's my problem with the logic underlying this kind of argument. The premises are;

1) Capitalism is bad because it coerces people into spending most of our waking hours doing a job we wouldn't otherwise do, for money

2) Most people can't survive under capitalism without a paid job

3) All paid jobs serve capitalism, thinking otherwise is delusional

If all of these are true then capitalism can't be defeated, because we can never spend more hours resisting it than we spend serving it.

(1/?)

Show thread

Given the first 2 premises, liberating people to spend our working days subverting capitalism - instead of serving it - is the only way we can overcome it. Which requires anticapitalists to recognise that people's jobs can *be* their activism, and find creative ways to help more people get paid to work towards a post-capitalist economy. Instead of reducing activism to protest politics - much of which is useless theatre -and claiming they only...

> cheer on activists from the sidelines

Government is not a business, and
ought not be run like one.
It’s mandate is not profit, but the
well-being of the people it serves.

Contrast with Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. It's also a surreal film about a lonely weirdo coping with loss. It also has plenty of thousand yard stares, awkward conversations, long pauses and irritating background tones. But it contrasts these with moments of levity, familiar chats, rapid-fire exchanges of dialogue and more soothing incidental music.

As a result, it's both entertaining and deeply profound. In a way All of us Strangers tries to be, and for my money, totally fails.
