@TheOldGuy He certainly wasn't going to read them!
**Water runs out for Arizona** I remember 30 years ago in university that they predicted this -- too many people and no water. However, everybody is falling over themselves saying 'there is no signature of climate change' whatever that means.

#physics #earthquake **Thrust at termination of rift** This indicates a very messing ending of the rifting for the large quake. Thrusts give the highest pgv pulses with the most damage. This is a classic '10 years of terror' scenario. I was expecting a large cross-fault like the upper fault to dissipate the end stresses.
@braindouche We have the case of a person stopping for ducks and killing a few people. Not a good ending.
@DavidDvorkin Don't forget the 'Eject all humans chute'...
@braindouche Oh, do that dna test which is always wrong - black ancestors -- whoops, wrong. A bit of caveman, which is me before coffee....
#physics #weather **State of the Oceans**

A small chance that the Pacific cold phase is slowing down, but it still will be cold until the end of the year. I hope it switches for my Tahiti trip.
#earthquake **M6.4 collapses more buildings** This was an absolute certainty that there would be an earthquake here. Accelerometers are the best to tell how close a building is to collapse.

#physics #earthquake **New earthquake where I thought there was a stress imbalance** This is thrust in a rift, so I am flabbergasted. If it extends left and right, then it is what I predicted.
#physics **UVC and Covid** I'm surprised that the medical power group is still going for hepa filters when this is the way to go. I think their filter views are an extension of masks, which are generally useless.

I've the UVC/titania filters in the house. They give a fresh outdoor feeling and may be the answer to indoor air problems, especially that 'dead air' feeling.
@airfoils Our most deadly drink is vodka and Baileys. Goes down like chocolate milk.
@kmic I'm on my 3rd (4th?) day of cabbage roll casserole.
**Fascinating anti-drone gun**

It's an EM blast.
Descended from Unix freaks, I evolved to Linux. Some people might consider me old at 60+, but I'm suing the world to get my age down to 30.
I have a blog https://ontario-geofish.blogspot.com/
and it is read by 8 people. My formal education is in an extinct branch of science called geophysics. Since there was no money in it, I went to engineering. I've done tunnels, radwaste thingies, etc.
