This reminds me of this old GitHub upload I cam across on Hacker news

Aesthetically, it's very simple in comparison to my own. In actual experience- I feel dwarfed in comparison due to the quality.

Life like a flame.
Are you a dim teacup or a flamboyant roman candle?
>>Me:: I'm the atom bomb people still remember long after I'm gone. Not for who I am, but what I did.

Side note:: if anyone gets offended by the above, there is a high likelihood you're taking advantage of circumstantial victimhood rather than maturely addressing concerns in a civil dialogue.

Should I stay or should I go now?

>>Started looking at your post history, but you boosted more than you tooted. Is there a way to show only your toots? Trying to do my due diligence here, but on the first two pages i only got "does not have great opportunities due to location".
<<Unfortunately, I did not have the foresight to mark the posts with any particular hashtag. ATM I would think searching would be the only means to find them - however, there's not much to consider when trying to parse results...
>>As peculiar as my own situation is, i would ask a question: how many viable (not pure evil) partys does a democracy need?
<<this sounds like a rhetorical question.
>>Sorry to highjack this, but i have been worried about this for a while. And i do somehow relate, growing up besides a one party "democracy".
I hope you pull through, both on food and democracy.
<<Life is full of learning lessons and experiences. If I can thrive under duress, life of leisure will be more prosperous for me.
>>If you want to talk about interviewing, toot me in private. I am notoriously polarizing and it did work out for me. Can't tell you if my advice will help or damn you, but i'll be damned if i don't try.
<<I'm fine, thanks for the offer.
@admitsWrongIfProven @freemo @burtawicz
I live in a leading country with rich IT opportunities and infrastructure.
I have applied for more jobs in the last 3 months alone than I have had books in my collection (I own a ton).
I've been told my interviewing skills could use some minor improvement.
My post history has some rejection emails included. Many of which contradict either the posting details or my resume.
So not entirely sure why things are this way until I get an honest answer and not the de-facto I've only ever been given since my earliest days of applying for jobs.
@RyanWelsh @stux
At least there's still commercial Halo jumps available. If you really want to go down the reverse route, maybe find a daring pilot to outfit their plane? Though that's more dangerous than the "conventional"(haha) deployment of service required.

Their stock is actually doing really well right now.
I'm currently trying to figure out what I can do about food for the next two weeks.

No elastic... But supposedly no whiplash due to harness design... I'm still not convinced, but apparently it's too late to catch a flight :/

@freemo @burtawicz
I broke our in-house implementation once in a production environment in front of a customer.
When asked if I was going to fix it - I politely said I could, but didn't have the authority to do so(and this gave a brief explanation <2min on how to do it).
Since then, I've been given clearance to do so- but not the compensation.
@RyanWelsh @stux
Seriously, no doubt about whiplash.... The human body isn't meant for that kind of abuse. Some people might think the immediate danger would be the hooking system (I would propose a magnetic system instead, like what used to be found in a few junk yards), but the real problem is the sudden force to the body- more so the specific points of the harness that will pull the torso with it.
Though, if you'd rather risk death or injury by friendly force- than torture by the enemy, this would be a no-brainer solution.

This is sadly ironic considering recent events on how scientific journals are now supposed to be free to the public of tax dollars have been used in any way to fund them.
