@newt @icedquinn @meowski Thanks. I'm not in the habit of hunting down anyone's financial records (which reminds me... I still need to do my taxes... *sigh*), but readable articles are good. Yeah, looks like the "Google is bad" philosophy is put to the test for Mozilla fans
suddenly I have all kinds of "mairix" stuff interrupting my #emacs workflow. It's in org and it's in Gnus. What in the world is this?
Difference from #Clojure Mount seems to be the use of a map instead of namespaces (I'm not sure what this means), and that Clip has better parallel system support and async between components. Looks like Juxt has made another good product -- but I don't think I have any pain points on the things it addresses. Shall I stick with Mount for my full-stack #Clojure web-apps? https://github.com/juxt/clip#comparison-with-other-libraries
Do you have a more recent article on this than 15-year old https://www.cnet.com/news/privacy/a-dangerous-conflict-of-interest-between-firefox-and-google/
What's the adage about "better to use 10 functions on 100 things than 100 functions on 10"? This proves it false. [:humor]

@trinsec Nice recommendation on HandBrake!
Yes, I believe that RecordMyDesktop compression (or is it ogv?) does factor in identical portions of frames and generalize them, like any good text compression algorithm does.
I've also been told that OBS might have some perks for me here, so when I finish this batch I'll give OBS and HandBrake a try
A great idea, and a nicely done April 1st

A friend’s startup did a privacy-preserving voice assistant w/ on-device ML including CV. Partner built nice prototype I saw at CES before startup exited to a Big (partner didn’t go to market).
We get asked“when is Brave doing Alexa or Echo private alternative?” It could happen. https://twitter.com/brave/status/1509879510639947782

@trinsec Now I'm getting nervous. I haven't started yet. However, I think the fact that for chunks of the movie two of the monitors don't change is reflected in the compression rate there. The actual files, once it's done encoding, are about a ninth the size.

I learn #Clojurescript and #Clojure because life is short. Programming is cool of course but honestly it's a shitshow. The complexity + dependency breakage, the "tooling" + constant changes are not healthy. I am a noob and for this I have the authority to say. I'd prefer not to.
@trinsec To keep it in one video, yes. In post-processing in kdenlive I will focus on one or two as necessary, but the work I'm demonstrating does shift between all three
