Got it! I installed a bunch of fonts to my #Guix last week and, some reboots later, today I realized that I am seeing the actual characters!
Trying to explain argument variables to my kid brother and realized that HTML and CSS don't have functions that take args. Case there against them being programming languages?

Not comfortable as far as UI UE or not comfortable as far as security/privacy?
@veer66 If it's the platform that determines privacy and regulation, then I would argue that web as platform is inherently open and transparent, more secure

@veer66 We have a fast food joint down the road that proudly advertises their souvlaki.They are really just kebabs, I think (the only shishkebabs I've ever had were either home made or pre-impaled from the store)

@worldsendless The parentheses are both balanced and unbalanced until you evaluate the expression.
Today I heard that a survey of our college students said "we hate responsive design" and want native apps instead. My career philosophy has been just the opposite -- web apps good (+ open source by default), native apps untrustworthy and wasteful.
