each day I have a "personal study" #emacs #orgmode #agenda item. Part of it is daily reading of a text file book. I bookmark my progress and then link to the bookmark from the orgmode entry; each day I just follow that link, update the bookmark when I finish reading, and the next day I can just follow day's link to pick up my reading. With #spray.el speed reading, btw.

Current state of #debugging: #GithubAction experiences a timeout that I do not -- checking for timeouts on something takes a whopping 30+ seconds, when I have no problem getting it done under the 5-second testing timeout limit. Next stop: figure out WHY. Suspect: I'm doing something that the server's PostGres version is bad at?

#emacs #Bookmarks are a super power I never hear mentioned, and BookmarksPlus is a full-blown application that highlights and brings all that power to your finger tips. The original code author was new to the language (this was his first and maybe only project in #Clojure) and loved to explicitly return nil and check `(nil?)` all the time. It turns out, it's harder to remove explicit type and `nil?` checks than I thought.

@izaya Big agree. My America is de defacto creator of the internet and thinks that makes them the owner, ignoring the beautiful world of what the internet has become and what it represents. Default "let's focus on America" is no longer accurate, and definitely not appropriate
