https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/profile/ is from the source of the Mastodon server. While your specific instance may be different, or you could even be using different skins on the same server... this is "The Official Documentation" for how your site should work. I hope.

@Dennis1212 Are you using the mas.to website? I don't have an account there, but I suspect it's largely pretty much about like the server I'm on. On my website, under @Romaq, I have an "edit profile" button. Clicking it, the page has this:

Musk’s decision to allow Fascists and Nazis back on to Twitter was the last straw. I deleted the app. I’ll miss the interaction with intelligent people, but I can’t let that much negativity into my daily life. Some friends might find me here, but most are lost to me😭😭😭

because you have seen things not being moderated well yourself? or is it hearsay from people of questionable mental constitution?
i witnessed things getting moderated on qoto with everyone acting like sane human people in the end. pretty drama-free.

- politics is literally the art of misinformation and twisting the truth.
- nearly no one had any issue with any vaccine until it was made about destroying the social and economical life of "unvaccinated".
- free speech enables some to say things you don't like, but also enables you to say things others don't like. you don't have to listen.

I wont say much other than to judge for yourselves, I think what I said and the evidence I presented speaks for itself.

David (admin of tech.lgbt) claims I harassed him... I show screenshots and links to all out private adn public conversation... no harasment, he of course cant link to or screenshot anything to back anthing up.
pettingzoo instance claims people from this instance told their users to "commit suicide"... they were made a-fool when I showed screen shots of our moderator interface showing there was never a single report from their instance in the history of QOTO.

Public Infrastructure. Climate Crisis as part of The Commons. I want to say so badly, "You had one job... just the one!" I know there are other jobs that need to be done, and also getting done just as crappy.
I'm in no place to decide what @freemo should or not do for pronouns. Or anyone *else* for that matter. I don't want to open a potential friendship with, "Hey, I noticed you didn't have pronouns/ Geez, mocking pronouns I see?" I mean, unless they made it so clear they were jerks, in which case I'd not bother to address them at all, or do so only as needed and be on guard. I saw "mister", I thought it was ... not what I'd choose, left it at that, moved on. At that time I had other priorities like, "What the hell is this instance thing about and why should I care?"
I do see what you are saying as "Sir" short for "Mister" short for "Master." I don't know how many people actually think of it, and as mentioned, "other priorities."
It would not be my choice to put up pronouns that could be seen as mocking. I think it would be a poor choice. But I'm not in a position to worry about it. Again, other priorities. @freemo is free to make his own choices, even if I disagree with them. I find no "fatal flaw." Yet. >:)

Too large a segment with pronoun issues have a justifiable lack of humor concerning them. I initially put them in my Bird Site bio as respect and solidarity. I didn't see until later it makes a FANTASTIC filter to be rid of people too full of themselves to engage with anyway. The same people who get really worked up if you use the wrong pronouns for God.
Blocked. Wanted to "both sides" it, but preferred to maintain spewing lies and misinformation as an "unbiased party" rather than have to explain where either @freemo's facts or his logic is in error. Too much work to bother. Easier to just say, "You are from an instance I don't like so nothing you have to offer matters."
