Reasons I love #games

For everyone there is at least one game they would enjoy.
I play grand strategy games for one and a half decade, played shooters in the 90s love indie games with neat mechanics, cool artwork or just nice ideas.
I played Mechwarrior Online exessively in 2015/16 and met the nicest people. We had not much in common than speaking at least a bit of english and playing games.
I met a dozen americans, a scot, a englishman, a czech guy, two french, australians, austrians and one guy from spain. I met an ukrainian who became best buddies with a russian bloke.
Games can change your live when you are a part of an inclusive and cool group of people. They are normal people and you learn that really the most people you will ever meet are nice.
Whatever you like to play I hope you enjoy your time with it. I hope it enriches your life or gives you a new perspective.

Hello all. I study 19th-century British ; (as in comic books), particularly fandom and readership of comics; book history; and print culture. I frequently employ digital and computational methods to study these things, which is how I ended up as faculty member in the School of Informatics, Computing, & Engineering at Indiana University.

I'm also a musician and songwriter.

Another picture from the time I was caught in the buffalo stampede.

I was caught in the middle of a stampede of 8 Buffalo. They were so close I could touch them and smell their breath. I could have easily been killed but instead of running I decided to stay and take all the pictures I could get. This picture is of the second pair of buffalo bulls in the stampede.

Ahoy! I'm a systems administrator for an East Coast MSP. I love gaming, both digital and analog, reading/writing genre fiction, making things, metal 🤘 , and learning everything I can.

Hello doctor Freemo, writing one's biodata is always a job, now let me try. I am in my 88th year and had retired after serving on the Indian Railways from 1950 to 1992. I started as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer in 1954 and retired as the General Manager of a zonal Railway in 1988. Thereafter I served for 4 years in a public sector undertaking of the Indian Railways as the chairman -and finally retired in 1992.

After retirement I have kept myself occupied with personal computers and software, solving cryptic crossword puzzles, playing contract bridge, cookery, listening to Indian and Western classical music and giving my political opinions on the current political scenario in India over the social media particularly Twitter.

I would love to interact with subscribers interested in these subjects. Awaiting your response and thank you for all the effort that you are made to make me feel at home and comfortable.

@Jaunporia

You've made this community interesting, welcoming, loving, and inclusive to people of all identities and orientations. It is truly wonderful to see.

I also love all the scientific and technical knowledge everyone is sharing. I've learned so much from all of you since being here and look forward to the future.

Looks like #keybase might start supporting mastodon soon. (Thanks in part to @Gargron's help)

Great to see Mastodon keeping its momentum up!

Hello!
I'm a software developer and have been in the biopharmaceutical research spectrum for a while...
I am welcoming new carreer ideas, but I'm thinking that I should veer into helping refugees and climate crisis prevention ...

I’m CTO for Hypergiant where we build machine intelligence solutions for Fortune 500 clients, a musician playing guitar and eurorack, artist, and husband and dad in Dallas, TX. Once upon a time, I was a professional blogger and a professor.

I am a Scottish mature student in biomedical engineering. I enjoy theoretical physics, especially anything to do with waves and electromagnetism. Getting into fluid dynamics at the moment. My favourite authors are Iain Banks and early Terry Pratchett. My music changes according to my mood. I'm not very good with people, so if I mess up, please excuse me. I should probably come with a health warning when it comes to unintentional upsetting remarks. I also get distracted by shiny things really easily. And rocks. I like rocks a lot.

#introduction I am a mathematician and cognitive scientist by training and troublemaker by inclination. I have been following the mastodon universe from the sidelines for a while now but a recent article (and facebook's tanking stock!) made me create an account here.

As a complete n00b, I am at your mercy. Tell me what I should know and who I should follow!

@codepuppy

I'm surely forgetting many more, but I'd also say, if you are looking for cool science leaning persons, @InvaderXan @spinflip , @freemo , @pwgallagher, @imvectech, @dereklh

As instances, I enjoy and respect a lot the people from sunbeam.city, mastodon.art, qoto.org, social.coop and refactorcamp.org, between others.
