#Help wanted!
With some friends we are setting up a local informal environmentalist group, with the aim of pushing forward good practices, spread sustainability, ecological awareness, and this kind of #solarpunk. stuff.
So far we are planning of doing #permaculture , #food production, #composting workshops, #Seed library, #GuerrillaGardening, collective purchase from #RegenerativeAgriculture farms, but we'd like to have more on the todo list.
Help me get out of our echo chamber, and give me your ideas about more activities we could engage ourselves and the local communities in.
Thanks!
@strypey
Are you sure is a couchsurfing fork? I thought it was written bottom up
@freemo
This cycling around must have been so wonderful that instead of the usual 16 kms, your 10 miles lasted for 22! <3
@delibrarian
Welcome, I'd love to read more about your works, in the future :)
@quokka
Ahah, this is awesome! Know the variety?
@bigkafka depends on the POV... the loss of biodiversity, freshwater and topsoil is IMO of a bigger pressure.
Balkan Beat Box
@JovialKarma Ok, I didn't expect this to be... this. But I like it!
@bigkafka Hi,
Mmhm, I wouldn't know how would it be possible to use your (admirable) skills in climate crisis mitigation/adaptation... maybe making tons of money and financiating 'the good guys'? (buying food from #regenerative farms, helping useful project to help us all...)
If you thought about it long enough, I'd love to hear what ideas did you have to channel your work into helping with climate change problems, really.
#ShareTheMusic for 8/29/18
@Surasanji Yeah, it's nice, then in other songs they get more klezmerish (listening March of The Jobless Corps right now, love the clarinet)
#ShareTheMusic for 8/29/18
@Surasanji I mean, doesn't sound like klezmer, more like drunken music... but it's nice anyway =D
#ShareTheMusic for 8/29/18
@Surasanji I deeply enjoy Klezmer music. The song you linked is really nice, I'll surely look out for more of them.
Thanks!
@MaxDH Welcome here! I'll give a look to the TED later =)
@num_seventy_four Ok,I gave it a read, and I even discussed the possibility with my grandmother, at lunch (she's 75).
Not only she wasn't that impressed, but she is very convinced that martians live amongst us since the '50s, and that on Mars we found some life anyway, so what's the big deal? They have their diseases, of course.
I was *astonished*.
Anyway, the Acknowledgements at the end are awesome =D
Thanks for sharing
