@Canageek@cybre.space Thanks, but it's a bit outside of my league... I'm not a chemist, I just studied basic organic chemistry and applied to biology and pharmacology, wouldn't understand 3/4 of your paper probably =D

But must feel good to be quoted, keep it up!

@modrobert
To be fair, she was being thrown out even before she started to speak, no matter the questions...

@crushv
has the 'follow instance' tool, and you see the local timeline of other instances

@Buche
Welcome! Usually I follow people for what we have in common, which is most of your profile, and in addition you got axethrowing... looking forward to it!

@FinalTheory
What's the final theory? Is it like a theory of everything or..?

And is it a theory in a scientific sense, or is an hypothesis?

@FinalTheory
I think @jaranta meant 'Humean' like, relative to the philosopher Hume, not 'human' :)

@Lou
Now, that's putting things in prespective

@Canageek@cybre.space
Grats! What was the paper about, may I ask?

@socalledunitedstates
Depends on context, and what you do. It takes like 3 years for a bamboo to become hard enough to build something, meanwhile it stays there using space. You have many tens of kilos of food you are not harvesting to keep 100m covered in bamboo for 3 years. After that, is difficult to get rid of it in my experience, takes a while and keeps popping out.
Bamboo also likes a lot of water, in very dry areas you'll have to use much water from the reservoir to grow it.

In some places, like most EU cities, you can find a lot of usable wood in the trash, and recycle it, which is easier and more environmentally friendly.
That's just some thoughts, bamboo of course can have it's place in a design and community owned place, but like everything, it depends IMO

Welcome @Surasanji , my daily source of Tel Aviv weather news!

@strypey

It may just have been me replying too late in the night... sorry =) @switchingsocial@mastodon.at

@strypey
Ah, sorry, I didn't realize that =)

@switchingsocial@mastodon.at

@strypey Yes, it may need some plugin, but does work. Check out @imvectech@libranet.de for example: they are hosted on a friendica website, and it works pretty well

@strypey

BTW, friendica federates also with OStatus right now, so Mastodon pleroma, GNUSocial, and so on, and should start talking AP at November. Just in case you want to add it to the list =)
