@freemo @fenwick67@octodon.social Looks pretty smooth, nice! Wonder if there is a way to show a fixed amount of toots... I see way more in your embedding than in mine, not sure why. Maybe 'cause you include the answers.

Could this be a good starting point for your project?

I embedded my latest toots in my static website, using the @fenwick67@octodon.social tool, mastofeed at mastofeed.com (thanks!).
Looks pretty good to me, and it was really easy!

Also thanks to @freemo, who gave me the hint of having static websites to work with the . The idea you proposed of a more deep integration, with comments and all, that would be so awesome!

[deleted and redrafted, sorry, I do that a lot]

@imvectech at first sight: ssl certificate is invalid and won't load the page ( "Sorry, something went wrong. Try reloading the page."). The API call is {"errors":[{"status":404,"title":"Deployment not found","message":"Deployment not found"}]}.
At least, that's what happens here.

is one of the few projects that makes sense to have on a .

The aim is to create a simple way to derive value from natural resources, by connecting farmers/land owners to people who want to value their work, and transparently verifying the ecological status with a set of trustless protocols.

Their website: regen.network.

I also wrote an article about it, if you feel like.

@imvectech
Hi, welcome here.
Looks like you have a very interesting project, I'll consider enrolling for the 1 year schooling!

Keep us updated on how it goes =)

This still undone building in an in Portugal is one that I followed quite from the beginning.

And by that I mean: from collecting chestnut logs in a nearby forest, to the drilling and screwing of the roof.

Now that the is done, this picture can't be shot ever again.

@BobTarte You make beautiful pictures man, thank you for sharing them. How long does it take you to make a picture of an insect? I'm an amateur, and 2 days ago after an half hour running behind a butterfly to try to catch it in the right light I gave up =D

@freemo @zinat Ah, I understand the whole thing now, and it seems like a terrific idea. It would easily help spread the AP network.

Would it doable without any server involved if using a static website generator?

Something like a plugin that when the whole website is generated:
* checks what articles have already been submitted to the instance
* creates a link at the bottom at the new articles to something like /static/js/articlename.js and addcomment.js
* pushes the rss of the article to the fediverse instance
* retrieves the id of the toot/status
* creates the js file with the api call to embed it in the website, like the wp plugin does, without using an iframe github.com/ginsterbusch/mastod

* This would add some overhead to the website generation, but it has the benefit of not needing an external server.

@freemo Just to get this straight, do you mean pushing the user activity in a static website to its fediverse account, or the other way round?

For the latter, I guess you can embed a call to the mastodon API from an iframed small js script and have the conversation. For the former, you'd probably need a parser atom/rss > activitypub I guess, like this one: github.com/edsu/feediverse

(You know I'm not a real techie, so forgive me if I'm saying silly thing =) )

@freemo @zinat It would still require a server side processing in retrieving the RSS and pushing it in the static website.
Right now this could be achieved with the embedding of the toot/status, which unfortunately doesn't also show the replies to it. If that could be done, it may be a very simple commenting system for static websites, I guess. (My website is static and I'll like to experiment with activitypub embedded comments)

@sofista@mastodon.bida.im I love : a word that means so many thing that you can actually say whatever you want about it, and you'll always be right.
I'd burn it to the ground.

I'm really quite surprised at how many people actively working with the crises fail to see how the degradation of the middle-eastern is a root cause of the problem.
And how much of our own work is in that degradation.

And even if they see it, restoring that land is rarely considered a priority.

Wonders of life.

@Fenris I do something similar, I just also use a bit of salt and instead of marseille soap I use the soap I make with the wasted frying oil.

Do you notice a difference with essential oils? I find them quite a waste as they don't really help to clean

@BobTarte Beautiful shot!

The Zygoptera are an ancient group, with fossils known from the lower Permian

An anecdote about it

Once my pharmacognosy professor told me he had a secret in his office, and moved the courtain to show me his little , almost flowering. It's touching to think he had to hide his small love because it's .

Mine was flowering hard one month ago or so. Can't hide it, really, it's too beautiful.

@chupacabra I admit it, I am pretty surprised by the numbers.

@polydad Hi, how did you work to share your solarpunk ideas?

I'm surely interested in your project, but I'm from Europe and am in love with it, so I can't do much beside giving some advices and following your project from remote =)

@dansup shut up and get back to work on pixelfed! We want it done!
