Abstract submissions for both posters and oral presentations are open. Presentations and posters from trainees are welcome; this is a great venue for trainees to talk about their research. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has thrown a pretty big salvo out: an EO declaring a refuge for gender-affirming care. Included is an order of non-cooperation with attempts to prosecute, refusal to enforce judgments against parents that seek gender-affirming care, non-compliance with subpoenas, and refusal to extradite.

This is especially big because Minnesota happens to be home to a little institution called "The Mayo Clinic." mn.gov/governor/assets/EO%2023

I just had a great call with @davidslifka. If everyone had his same passion for making the Fediverse happen, it would be a lot easier to bring others here. Not saying your Uncle Leo and Aunt Martha will be migrating here just yet, but maybe some of the people they respect will, and they may follow.

I feel it's critical that we urge our friends to get a fedi ID and just learn how things work without any pressure. And certainly without "shaming" them for something millions loved once: Twitter.

Having already consumed an amount of this excellent earthy , I idly read the label and notice the small notation: "rind not edible".

Uh oh!!! 😁

The interwebs seem to say that only rinds of "wax, cheesecloth, or paper" can't be eaten, and this doesn't seem to be any of those. I wonder what's up with that?
