@ayy Not sure off hand, but id imagine far less than 2/3rds of the general population are abused.
@Surasanji No such thing as free healthcare. The only difference is if your forced to pay for it or if its your choice, as well as how much freedom you have in what you buy.
@Surasanji Yea, and i think its important we consider it a disease if its genetic or not too. Sadly people tend to give a little more consideration of genetic mental disorders than acquired ones.
@Surasanji Thanks that was brutal. Being stuck in my house, and mostly stuck in my bed, for 4+ months was driving me insane.
@tjemni No we will be upgrading soon. I was injured with a back injury for a while so just didnt have the chance. But i got a treatment that has had me feeling cured for about a week now. So I'm finally able to start catching up on my back log. Its been mostly work related stuff. But now that im getting close to caught up im going to go through the QOTO stuff i have to do hopefully this week.
@mngrif Yea man, and it isnt even completely about weight. Took me about a month without having lost much weight to be able to run up steps at top speed and bike 30 miles in a day without being much of an issue. Obviously the weight helps with it too, but really its mostly conditioning. I was still well over 300 lbs and more than capable of literally running up several flights once i was exercising regularly.
@KatGoesWoof@mstdn.io
@mngrif congrats I've recently lost a similar amount.
I've tried to focus on goals more like "how far can i walk in a day", "how many times a week can i bike my 10 mile course, my 30 mile course"..."How big of a mountain can I hike". These seem like better measures to me than just weight.
@KatGoesWoof@mstdn.io
@mngrif focus on health, not weight (though they are related). too much or too little exercise is unhealthy. Are you exercising regularly, are the workouts tough without being degenerative. Can you do more exercise without causing mroe damage than good...
Same with food, is the food you eat healthy, do you cheat a lot in ways you can improve?
If you can ans2wer yes to all that then dont worry about weight. Afterall it doesnt account for muscle anyway
@Surasanji True, but one being subjective and the other objective doesnt really tell us much as to which one is more useful or beneficial.
The bigger issue as i see it is that good morals are those which reduce suffering. To know if a moral is effective at reducing suffering you must have accurate facts as to the outcome of your actions. In other words, to be moral you must have accurate facts.
The reverse however isnt true, whether a fact is effective as a fact or not has nothing at all to do with morality.
@mikelga I think a lot of cheese is excellent with a bit of drying. After all thats half of what fried cheese is.
@mikelga Neither have I. As far as i know i invented it (though im sure some ambitious schmuck out there has done this before).
@mikelga Cheese after a few hours in a dehydrator. specifically Pepper jack cheese.
@Surasanji too easy, im already onto considering gold leaf as an edible conductive surface :)
@Surasanji Im not sure if there is anything we eat conductive enough to act as a good low loss wire.. not to mention i would have no clue how t make an edible semiconductor... might be doable though. I dunno edible things that are low resistance arent too common
@Surasanji Now all i need to do is build a radio out of cheese and ill be set!
