Yea, its the latest in biometrics, if you arent the owner it spits at you and yells.

They are just out here parking camels in the parking lot like its perfectly normal.

@cvog
Aside from the fact that they keep the skin on the chicken its fairly light fair id say. Certainly has some passing similarity to greek food.

@cvog
Luckily beans and nuts are such a huge part of their diet here you could probably be a vegan here and get a pretty healthy intake of protein and vitamins.

@trinsec

Sadly not yet, but i think my leg may be almost good enough to start. January 1st i transfer to the camel dive resort so ill have gas and tanks on site at thr hotel. My plan is to do a few practice runs im the pool to are how i handle myself, if i feel comfortable i should be diving in the sea sometime next week.

Half my vacation was lost to this leg injury but at least i have a month and a half left for diving.

Looks like i might be flying into Israel to do some consulting for a biotech company there after my stay on Egypt is over. They are trying to get me a b1 visa (a type of work visa for qualifying experts in a field). It will be fun to see how they conduct business over in Israel and tackle some hard problems again but honestly i cant wait to check out the super old architecture and religious sites.

How to convert any meal to egyptian:

1) instead of bread and butter replace with pitas and tahini
2) Replace all types of beans and chickpeas with fava beans
3) Use eggplant like a californian would use avocado, add it to everything
4) replace butter with oil
5) whenever you dont know what to do with a fruit or vegetable, pickle it.
6) meat
7) meat

I Tried several egyptian foods i havent had the chance to try yet. It was delicious but i have so many left overs.

The white dish is Rice Muammar, the brown looking rice is "Oriental Rice" which isnt very oriental by american standards, its rice with nuts and seasoning, the sausages are called Mombar and is lamb casing stuffed with meat and rice and spices, and finally the meat stuffed inside the pita is called Hawawshi and the bread is a bit crispy and amazing.

The irony about people who try to use my government work as a character flaw against me is that the very reason i quit government work is because i ethically objected to it despite the amazing pay.

@realcaseyrollins
Yup its always some drama like that. What makes it worse is when you tell them you just dont want to engage in the conversation thry get even more worked up. Like they demand not only you talk about it but you agree with the

I think its real milk but the lactose is extracted which is what makes people with intolerance upset.

@realcaseyrollins
Im not lactose intolerant but since it has no lactose and is made for people who are you should be good. I have drank it before and it tastes pretty close to real milk.

@realcaseyrollins
Just fet yourself some lactaid man and you can drink all the chocolate milk you want hot or cold.

@realcaseyrollins
In a weird way it would probably feel better if it did come up

@realcaseyrollins
Yea thats true, the bad actors on poast are easier to spot. Spinster you actually have to talk to them first, then you wind up regretting it once you do. Poast you can tell before you even reply.

@dsfgs

I am not as vigilant about it as you. Like i do try to avoid it on any services i host, mostly because i know some of my community cares and i want them to feel safe and protected. But its not a big fight for me other than avoiding them where i can. Like i dont invest much time in spreading the word and all the things that a more active person like yourself might do. For me its just common sense to avoid it.
