Yea. Though to be fair I do suspect liberals less often open-carry. But still its an obnoxious assumption for sure.
I generally would describe myself as left of center, but close to center. So not sure if that counts as a "liberal", but im certainly no conservative.
Free speech is a bit hairy.. In terms of legal free speech both sides seem to more or less support it.
When it comes to private speech people dont like and it is still legal to censor it without violating free speech then both sides seem to be ok censoring it when it aligns with their views.
I meant he right is also the side that bans books for example.
As someone who almost always open-carries guns I must say, the one thing I dont like is how certain people assume your a republican or pro-trump when they see it. Today I had an experience with a tow truck driver who was overtly racist the whole ride home and I suspect its because he saw my gun and made some assumptions.
Pro-guns is probably the only topic where I align with the right at all really.
@mjambon ;)
@koen_hufkens i had the opposite exxpiernce being a nondutch speaker who had spent a lot of time licing in the netherlands.
This is true, and effects even the biggest parties. We have already seen this with r3publicans/trump being blocked by the judicial system in tbr upcoming ballot.
Ok and whats the solution that can be applied in an unbias way so when the same happens from the right we are equally protected from either side?
So when you see proof right in my my bio that i stand for bodily autonomy and disprove your very point your only response is to resort to personal attacks.
Wow your amaxing at proving my point for me, that the left is toxic and unhinged just like the right. You are indistinguishable from a MAGA loon.
QED for showing the very toxicity of the left i called out, thanks for that.
While some people certainly are as you describe it, they are thr minority of people who hold these views in my expierence.
This is just the lie and narrative people say so often the left has bought it. And the right has likewise bought similar lies about the left
@freemo I have to say I didn't know exactly how it works! Looks like different states have different people on the ballot even for the presidential election.
Page 10-11 of this PDF shows all the people who were on at least one ballot in 2020, it's... surprising. https://www.fec.gov/resources/cms-content/documents/federalelections2020.pdf
@mjambon luckily i have shared tons, there are several a day at least of this caliber or worse.
@LouisIngenthron also thr majority on the left voted for biden and in my expiernce the .ajority of thr left are almost as bonkers as thr majority of tbe right.
If this werent the norm behavior on the left id probably be more willing to consider them.
But more to the point freemasons i cant evaluate too well till im in it. If this is the norm for thrm id leave.
You are the kne making the extraordinary claim of 99%. The onus is on you not me. Scientists dont need to debunk fantastical claims without evidence.
@LouisIngenthron a few nuts is very different than voting for a nut to lead the whole group by majority vote.
Also freemasons are distributed, each lodge manages itself and may or may not have a parent lodge.
@spoltier huh? There are tons of people on the ballot, its not like there are only two choices on the ballot or something.
Cite your source for that 99% figure, sounds absurd and incorrect but feel free to prove it.
Well I am strongly against drug tests for welfare recipients, as are most people who take my stance.
So again, your point?
Incorrect. There were laws that required people to wear masks in public in most states, which is what they objected to. There were similarly requirements to be vaccinated for government employment, which again was considered a violation.
Almost no one was trying to ban voluntary vaccinations or mask wearing.
