Every science teacher ever: Energy can be neither created nor destroyed.

Casmir Effect: ::hold my beer::

re: I don't know what I've been told..

@freemo @stux

You can also evaporate something (but only as long as you have something to evaporate). Surprisingly many spacecraft used evaporative cooling at least sometimes (Gemini had an evaporator that seemed to have been used at low flow continuously, Apollo LM was cooled purely by evaporation, Apollo CSM had an evaporator to allow higher heat rejection rates than by radiators alone and as the sole way to dispose of heat after the SM was gone, Shuttle had an evaporator to cover high heat load intervals and, I assume, to help in the case the payload doors won't open).

In case anyone was wondering the word for a Greyhound is "Windhond" which translates to "wind dog".

re: I don't know what I've been told..

@freemo @stux for our next trick, spacefauci will see how many peppers you can eat with your eyeballs while hanging upside down on the ISS.

@freemo Ahh yes! Facebook.. That's something from a distant past :blob_derpy:โ€‹ what was I thinking! I meant the totally revolutionair ultra light and massively opensource META

@freemo thanks freemo, it's great to serve a corner on the internet for a better world

The new koyu.space update will feature Ruby 3 and some minor other improvements, bug fixes and security fixes #koyustatus

@trinsec @freemo

That's right! I didn't think about that. I was thinking a hole dug to China (from US).

So I guess, "A statement that is logically or literally true (or partly true)...", in this case is partially true, although I'm not sure how a "never" can be partially correct. Anyway, the series is just for fun in any case.

Ever since I learned about the Tetris Effect I see it everywhere....

#2545 Bayes' Theorem

P((B|A)|(A|B)) represents the probability that you'll mix up the order of the terms when using Bayesian notation.

I'm still talking to that HS crush, few days in now. It is so surreal hearing all these stories about me from being a kid partly because you never really remember yourself accurately or all that well at all.

I'm reminded of awkward things I did like never talk to her and didnt really make eye contact with her (which she noticed because she always wanted me to). But other really nice things like she remembers how I was so unusual for being very mature and career driven at only 15/16 years old. She recalled me having a few conversations with teachers where I tried to understand really advanced maths or discuss my career outside of HS.

Anyway this trip down memory lane the last few days has been so enriching. So happy she tracked me down after 22 years :)

For those of you who cant read the interview/article about me in newsday back when I was 17 years old, here are some screenshots of it instead.

An interview where I answer some questions over the phone for a reporter with newsday. I was 17 at the time, nad had been in college for about 2 years and started my own company and software project that had exploded. I was on national news at the time like fortune magazine and front page of USA today, even had a bunch of TV interviews.

Reason I wanted to share this one is it is one of the few surviving interviews where I actually answer questions back and forth:

An old post I made in a forum back in 1999 when I was 15 years old trying to figure out how special relativity worked... It is interesting coming across old gems of my childhood on the internet.
