Also I think most people look at this from the wrong perspective. It's more a guarantee that UFoI members aren't blocking each other, guaranteeing that there's at least a piece of the Fediverse communicating with each other. If you don't wish to partake in this, just don't join.

@atomicpoet Good post, as a founder I want to point out a few things.

My personal motivation was to make sure that I was judged fairly, not in my favor.. I was hoping people hostile towards me would join the UFoI and judge me accordingly. All I wanted was the ability to demonstrate, and be listened to, that virtually all of their accusations were lies rooted in snows misinformation campaign and in each and ever case I had evidence to show the accusations were false.

To that end earlier today I stepped down as council member in UFoI. While I will continue to help with the software I have no power.

I also encourage the UFoI, once it finishes the last stage of launching to report QOTO and open any accusations to the general public, where I will have no power to "game" the system.

My intentiojn was always that if the evidence was all laid out from both sides that it would very clearly demonstrate that most of the lies about me hold no weight... I wanted a fair hearing, nothing more, nothing less.

He basically tried to join a group trying to bring transparency, evidence, and ethics to inter instance moderation to prevent unfounded block list abuse and accusations, its called the UFoI https://UFoI.org

As a result the people who are most guilty of this very abuse added him to a block list even after he left the UFoI... according to him 33 instances blocked him.

The irony is this is the **exact** situation the UFoI is trying to prevent, yet somehow he is mad at QOTO, for this.. go figure.

I do feel bad for him though, its a shame.

@freemo @ufoi This is smart because @freemo is more interested in #UFoI happening than being in charge of it. Deserved or not, he is polarizing.

Either you trust the process, or you do not. If you trust the process, you can subjecr tourself to it.

Awoo.fyi is apparently blocked on the fedifence.social block list and I am genuinely upset about this whole process and being slandered with no recourse. According to their rules:

The problem is that I am not knowingly doing any of this. The server itself is configured aggressively to flag offending materials for review, remove nasties from timeline etc. It even rejects posts that contain offensive racial slurs. I have asked my moderators and they haven’t had any notable content show up either for the last couple of days. The content being filtered and moderated out, which is much of the above is further illegal where the server is hosted.

We have an aggressive Terms of Service that pretty much disallows the content described above at https://awoo.fyi/about/tos

We produce regular transparency reports, which you can view from @Transparency or https://awoo.fyi/@Transparency

We have a public federation restriction list at https://awoo.fyi/federation_restrictions


I went through their process to get delisted, which was to visit their Github link and post an issue. If you check the attached screenshot, we did.
If you visit our issue, it has been removed or hidden with the entire repository at https://github.com/FediFence/fedifence/issues/12

I have included screenshot of the repository commits before I noticed it disappearing, see last screenshot for image.

Its important to let everyone know I reworded the first "hate speech" clause of the code of ethics.. since this is critical please let me know if anyone objects to the new wording, I can always reverse it and put it up to a vote but I expect most people will be ok with it.
