War on sharing... (RMS Quotes) "Never use a product whose purpose is to deny your freedom"...

"...because in their war on sharing, they will go to whatever lengths they find necessary to maintain their dominion over people." @01h33m26s

"Never use a product whose purpose is to deny your freedom..." @01h34m14s

"We have to put an end to this entirely. We must end the war on sharing by legalising sharing explicitly saying "Everyone has the right to share copies", now sharing means non-commercial redistribution of copies. It would be limited to that." 01h34m51s

Points from Richard Stallman to support what I mean...

Hi, video starts from points I was touching on about AI

SAAS runs proprietary and server owner owns server and code.

redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=

AI is mostly the above structure... and even offline not sure if it would be made using xyz technique, Can't trust from who it's made by.

And still no answer about how people can be anon. How the same switch later doesn't turn off bad.

Click πŸ”” bell for Instant Notifications on selected user profiles... (short video)

β–ˆ pop-ups help see topics, and ignore or check posts at the same time
β–ˆ pop-up fades out after a few seconds after showing first few lines...

- Don't miss out / fall behind / respond more instantly = a responsive Fediverse
- Get posts while working online, not later, later, never!

Boost πŸš€ :boost: πŸš€ + add notification for me!

Fediverse Tip... (Notification Bell) - If you're serious about change - add notifications to people's profile and try them for a week or weeked with popups... Unfollow after a week(end) if 0 interesting comes from it. (So rather than following everyone, understand them 1 by 1 more personally and fully (them keep or delete/ditch them!)...

ℹ️ Example message below for your new followers. You can copy the sentiments to help others sort out messages to see your thoughts (better than infinite-scroll spaghetti home timeline and more as-you-go thinking together and reaction times). So for example:

"Hi I've accepted follow request... super!
+ Please click bell πŸ”” notification to follow now for a bit (with popup on screen momentarily) as this help us see things better and it saves the need catchup up later too and if there is nothing interesting or 0 good from me for 1 week please click off bell or unfollow (it's good to say you tried and move me on - keep or delete!)

Most messages get lost on home page (infinite scroll with 100 other people seemingly illogical threads of posts) - so as I'm serious about change - and I hope you are too - that's my take on clicking πŸ”” for a week (click my profile and then bell). Thanks for trying. And more power to you! :fediverse: πŸ’ͺ "

πŸ’ (can change this to your own style towards helping us manage message and see each other better and move on to finding better matched people)

A- the end user?
B- the owners / suppliers / data handlers / people the data is given to?

Bluesky BRIDGE is similar to Fediverse and it's culture?

Bluesky BRIDGE is similar to Fediverse and it's culture?

Maybe you think it's just like another email provider added?
(No I think)

Notes on DISsimilarities of protocal and providers in the Fediverse context...

TLDR
β–ˆ1β–ˆ It's not using the same protocol for a start - if it was more native then maybe, which is why β–ˆ2β–ˆ is important

β–ˆ2β–ˆ The culture is why we came here, ethics and ethos, promise of no capitalism or concretely less by saying NO to some things...

and why we came here (not there) in the first place...

-------------------
LONGER VERSION: More points
-------------------
Few people mention it's just like email Bluesky being added.... so a bit about that:

β–ˆ Email / SMTP protocol is or was mostly the same across all providers, whereas bridging like Bluesky is a more different.

More like mimicking or tapping into our protocol which is more like tapping into our culture / ethos without believing in it/
Not believing in making it more free / less capitalistic selling out (of everything not just data).

It is the main reason why we came here in the first place and why we will also leave if it gets too twitter-like / Bluesky invaded).

If you believe in "Jack Dorsey" then he has quit the project already as a sign of what he thinks.

Jack Dorsey has removed his Bluesky account a while back and not working on it at all other than general board of council, so this as a kind of bar / stronger signal perhaps = not being part of it any more makes it more clear without reading overly into it too much either.

Bluesky =
β–ˆ much more commercial entities and culture vs. what we defined as not.
β–ˆ and then making the users we were choosing from come back here as personal politics is obviously different endangers us by making it 'too easy' (commercial) again and too uncultured (people who do not choose their servers on principle / no-interest in community or caring about the protocol) is just more of the same reasons for this side of the differences,

Overall lacking of care or detail in life (users and company are different) that is spreading like a cancer for all the providers in the world and it's users. So we learned these lessons many times. Don't let them in, ok they might try but don't invite them! 🀨

β–ˆ Mastodon :mastodon: and Fediverse :fediverse: was clearly opposite to many things and just turning this into another kind of snoop-city is not great for me/many.
We see everything converted into the same shit show, from taxis to the next thing...

Linux people sometimes negative towards beginners, extreme or unhelpful?... (Examples from podcast: Late Night Linux #267)...

"It doesn't make you a bad Linux user for using Windows also."

Good Points / Notes....
β™₯ being an advocate and not a gatekeeper,
β™₯ being tolerant of other people’s choices
β™₯ accepting that not everyone can use Linux
β™₯ spreading the word that Linux has improved over the years
β™₯ contributing where you can

Mastodon helps gives Google YouTube adverts from our links 99999999 per day - it bugs me...

because there is a better way already...

(use filtering sites... redirect.invidious.io)

...for 0 adverts / less bad code!

It's a loss of our efforts not to...
Easy fix / can be optional replacement by Mastodon itself...

Hope Mastodon makes option to turn all youtube.com/ links to
redirect.invidious.io/

(switch on and off to make optional sure!)

We have choices like @invidious ...
LET US USE IT!!!

At least a few people higher up could endorse this and get it actioned... BOOST!! πŸš€ :boost:

I'd like to continuing to educate about filtering the bad code amd ask heads of code makers and software to implement replacement of server words - simple.... redirect.invidious.io ...
