Similar passionate people might block each other naturally like magnets of the same polar direction...

It takes for one to change / redirect polarity a bit for things to come fill circle around a bit better and not clash as much.

My show (culturewar.radio) is about overcoming this by rebuilding a shared understanding and community via regular conversations and the application of #LiberalValues. Please jump on for a few minutes. Sundays, 9pm central till midnight.

At a personal level, maybe using algo-driven & ad-supported social media seems fine. That's really what most media is. Radio & TV have always done this, deciding what comes next. Most streaming options will auto play something now too. Fine.

The problem is at the collective level. A world where a few corporations have so much control over what everyone pays attention to is not a healthy society. It's bad for democracy. Breaking this cycle is why the #fediverse matters. Here, we decide together.

Just Realised... I might never catch up on all my notes... (working forever now only "to do it later"?)...

Though I've made good progress it's like the realisation today that "no one day I'll not get back to all this stuff" and "at this rate I'm creating more than I can catchup on..." 🚨

So "working forward" or not overloading the the future work instead of "one day I'll make time to catchup on ALL THIS ACCUMULATION" (!) seems better way.... any thoughts?

Though I've made good progress, and never forgotten much, it's like "working forward" instead of "one day I'll get back to all this stuff" which is kind of evident already if you and I are not doing the clean up now from the past stuff we set ourselves.

Data and stuff will just be left unprocessed! (which is only shame if we are forever working now only "to do it later" and don't do it later)

❓ What is it you put aside to constantly catch up on? ❓

@denix @mwl Absolutely. Which is why running you own mail server, done by as many people as possible, is important to break their monopolies. E-mail is meant to be a federated, not a centralized medium.

Great job opportunity at #RIPE #NCC : Conference Coordinator!

They get to organise RIPE meetings & help with hackathons, too!

@jdrouet the magic really is done by postmarketos.org/, they provide an linux distribution aimed at phones. it's geared towards phone-like usage (allowing you to make calls and things like that), but it's a full linux that can run all kinds of stuff

In the vernacular, “theory” is associated with ideas that are incomplete or not necessarily true. It has a much different meaning when used by scientists.

Efficiency as 'better people' - not just cold efficiency...

About "Efficiency":
It naturally takes from efficiency to be more warm or human-like to others...

If you see growing healthy people as better efficiency then you accept less "MAXIMUM" for things in more of a hell-bent way and get better all-rounders so we will overall get better people in life.

Because it's not cold "job" efficiency that fixes and hold life, but it's how we communicate and learn from each other too which is often not always taught (at all) or directly inside a "job" description on how to be nice and train for loving life a bit more together with others (rather than against which jobs tend to be).
