Possibly. Still, I am not aware of any case where a company or NGO was forced to change their code in order to track more and the users were not notified on time. If you know any such case, I am interested.
Warrants to deliver stored personal data may be common, but completely different.

Oh yes, do use DNS-over-HTTPS when you can.
Keep in mind that other programs in your PC may use your default OS/router DNS settings, so you may want to configure network settings as well. I suggest Cloudflare like you use in Firefox (1.1.1.1).

I am concerned about the messaging recommendations.
Telegram is awesome but does not offer e2ee by default like Signal does. Also, whatsapp... well, belongs to facebook, so...

I agree about searx and the avoidance of anything digital on US soil, but if DDG does not log anything personal, there is nothing US agencies can take. Right?
@Pleasant_Pete @digitalcourage

@Pleasant_Pete Hmmmm, I guess you already have plugins for tracker-blocking, Do Not Track activated and HTTPS Everywhere in Firefox...
Have you changed DNS settings as well or does you VPN take care of that?

@hansw I didn't know how they operate, but obviously they are changing something. Thanks for the info.

To my understanding the data must not include npostart.

NPO, Dutch national broadcaster: a case study of 3rd party ad trackers as a form of revenue, by Brave.

Bottom line: you don't need 3rd party tracking in your website to be lucrative! ✌️

@Sphinx It's simple: "Greece" is the noun, meaning the country. "Greek" is the adjective, meaning people or things that come from this country.

examples:
I come from Greece, so I am Greek. I live in Greece as a Greek citizen.
I like Greek cheese./This cheese is made in Greece.

Fun fact: In the Greek language we don't call ourselves that! 😂 "Greece" is "Ελλάδα" (Hellas) and "Greek" is "'Έλληνας"/"Ελληνικός" (Hellenic).

@freemo
But is it wealth or money you are generating? If it is wealth then the canned tomatoes analogy is great. Can you generate money without having a country/bank print them?

Thinking about huge multinational companies that keep money in offshore accounts and never spend them I get concerned about inequalities. And since they are companies they could be immortal, so the money never return to the market, but they can be used as leverage. I hope I am not going out of context here, this is what pops into my head when reading @namark 's argument.

@Sphinx Yeah? I think I have heard he had a house on some island.

@freemo I get it, nice example. Thanks for the clarification.

However, I wish this was how very wealthy people acquired their wealth. The higher I look, the less relevant it appears to me.

@freemo I see now, but I still find the statement in the image misleading.
Also, in the example, would not such events change the value of gold in the society making the gold of other people equal to less wealth than before?

@freemo
Are you referring to Pareto improvements? Because, otherwise, how is it not pie?
