@LouisIngenthron It's a recession with a zillion people laid off. Scams have money. I remember in the last recession, all the young people were being recruited for furnace scams.
@empiricism OMG, you could substitute anything in that...
@acjay I think, continental wise, it is balanced by all the finance people being let go in New York....
@TheOldGuy Woah! Don't be so hard on yourself....
@davoloid Well, just stabbings, then. I found that in Toronto, the police only move when there are shootings. Stray bullets might hit the rich..... We don't even report stabbings.
@TheOldGuy I find that 10 ft snow drifts have an effect on them....
@davoloid What horrible place is this?
@TheOldGuy Wow, you can get away with an outdoor wood furnace?
@DrK Is that a picture from your 'time theft' monitor? :)
@totheralistair At the beginning, organizations can tolerate the 'brights'. These are people, like programmers that are 10 times more productive than the average. They fade at 40. As the place gets 'old company disease, the brights are thrown out.
@darryl Oh, I can't wait for my AI image using this...
#physics #weather #canada **Canada gets cold blobs** These are now following last year's pattern. Progressively colder blobs coming down on us. They sweep the US, as well. The mimic gif shows the speed, and the static minimum temps show the severity.
I'm just sticking to Canada right now, Europe can have the influencers. :)
Descended from Unix freaks, I evolved to Linux. Some people might consider me old at 60+, but I'm suing the world to get my age down to 30.
I have a blog https://ontario-geofish.blogspot.com/
and it is read by 8 people. My formal education is in an extinct branch of science called geophysics. Since there was no money in it, I went to engineering. I've done tunnels, radwaste thingies, etc.
