@Absinthe could be some kind of markdown nonsense I can't see but no link!
@zstark from merriam webster.com
> Revenge definition is - to avenge (oneself or another) usually by retaliating in kind or degree.
you should look up some english literature as well
got openbw to replay, getting rid of some dlmalloc nonsense, next to get a bot to compile (the one I tried was not c++, but some kind of MSVC specific, no includes, no respect for standard abomination) and cobble together enough UI to beat it.
@zstark yeah, the other day this guy was like he's into stracraft and stuff, so I challenge him to a 1v1 broodwar and he ran away to play starcraft 2 like a total pussy.
@lbing everyone always has been treated as commodity by software proprietors everywhere, nothing chinese social website about that. Chinese government just established its own monopolies in its own country instead of submitting to US mega-corps, so they (and everyone else who did submit) are butthurt about that.
@DavidBond you open another instance, go to user directory and follow people you like. It also makes their post appear on federated timeline for everyone on your instance. There are bots that do this to randomly populate the federated timeline for you, cause we humans can't handle anything but a linear list.
Some clients allow you to follow the local time-line of another instance, I prefer that method of discovery, but it's not proper protocol, and they say if you keep doing it the fediverse will go blind.
So you terraformed your marses and made yourself these perfectly square flat islands, on which you made bunch of single rover housing stations in a perfectly square NxM grids, and then randomly air dropped bunch of rovers there. Now you need a program to plan a course to get each of them to a place they can call home. Some of you went for the Electric Wheelchair 4.2 model, and others preferred the Atomic Tank 6.6.6.
1. EM 4.2: these are super efficient but have limited fuel, so need to make sure you do not ran out of it on any rover.
2. AT 6.6.6: these have unlimited fuel but wreck the environment, so gotta have them moving as little as possible altogether.
Rovers can't collide thanks to state of the art interdenominational wormhole technology, but it's proprietary and patented so you can't use it for anything other than avoiding collision.
For those who have no or too much imagination:
given an NxM grid and K (<= N*M) random points, both in the same range (say 0 to 1 on each axis), pair the random points to grid vertices minimizing the
1. maximum distance
2. sum of distances
between each pair.
@tripu you are just restating the obvious except the control freaky starts to show with the "I can't decide, so let our new overlord youtube algorithm do it".
>oh no, i'm not inhumane I still want social workers
sure 1 social worker per 100 000 of potential beneficiaries, and you don't get an audience unless the proverbial algorithm deems you worthy. It serves no purpose other than cutting costs by treating people as commodity. And that's your only take in these entire thread.
@AmpBenzScientist yes yes, and then go back in time and pour some drain cleaner on baby hitler to save the world... wtf are you even talking about agent 47?! are you gonna share your sexual fantasies with us next?
@trinsec careful there, lest you start advocating to rob poor developers of their only chance to make games by controlling imaginary quantities on your devices.
@Pat yes and I can deal with it, I don't need to know everything and be right about everything all the time. A mofo guiding a blind person straight into a speeding car is obviously doing it with an intent, and yet he still has a right to try and defend himself in court. If it's much more vague and difficult, it will be discussed at length and a decision for the particular case will be made, as right as it can be, as wrong as it has to be.
@Pat if they are delusional about a particular thing, than they are not lying about it, if they are lying about it then they are not delusional.
You can keep dreaming of your fascist utopia where you can finally realize judge dread fantasies, meanwhile intent is the most relevant.
@OmegaVariant the law (article says draft) is unimplementable without concentration camps, but that's not how vaccines work. It's not a magical potion of invulnerability, it's an arms race, the goal is to eradicate the virus before it can adapt. If a vaccinated person is repeatedly exposed to virus populations that are allowed to spread and mutate freely in people that are not so affected by it, one or the other mutation will inevitably stick.
@Pat freedom of speech doesn't mean "as long as you are just speaking you are a saint", it means "if you are willing to express yourself publicly you should be allowed to do so". Intent is paramount when it comes to criminal law, if you as little as breath at someone with the specific intention to harm them and it directly or indirectly causes them harm, you are guilty. If we're talking severe harm like getting run over by a car, even without intent you can be charged for negligence.
@AmpBenzScientist you should read what I actually wrote instead of thoroughly embarrassing yourself with a knee jerk reaction to an internal narrative you got going on.
Oh yes hitmen, the backbone of every platoon, the brave men and women without whom fires of war would never burn.
