@Paradox@niu.moe

You had a point there up until the "as long as". Whatever your condition is the only way to ensure it is free software. Non foss mans you don't care, period, no butts no long asses.

@Lwasserman what is it?
maybe lerp(x, 1-x, a)
or maybe lerp(a, 1-a, x)
or something completely different?

alright so this is a lerp, all fine, no complaints here
x * a + y * (1 - a)

but what a lerpaderp is this?
x * a + (1 - x) * (1 - a)

Requiring a backdoor for encryption won't stop any cyber-related crime. Encryption is just math. You can't put a math genie back in a bottle for a whole society.

@benis

If you did, you wouldn't have replied. If you had an argument you wouldn't resort to an insult.

@benis

It takes but a moment of consideration to realize that the ease of defeating our nature is what sets us apart from animals.

If you raised children yourself feel free to share why you think it's good or worth it or whatever. Regrets that are not even yours mean nothing.

@thor@mstdn.social for your usual office work though there are no strict metrics of workload or duties, so you are paid for your commitment, and the "be here at this time" is the best metric we've got for that. If you read the contract you might find a lot of other nice things hinting that what they want you to do is dedicate your life to your job (such as "all your thought belong to us") and not just produce results or carry out duties. For more concrete types of work there are usually more concrete contract terms as well.

It's not necessarily bad, if you enjoy the workplace, or if you are a beginner and haven't yet figured out what it's all about in your particular line of work.

@rhinocock this is ruthless, the third punch knocked me out, but it kept going until I was dead

@kk well necessary evil is necessary evil, but I think the problem is that people don't think of it as evil. In my experience people who don't even know about the law still have the "no that idea is MINE" reflex/instinct, which makes them nod in approval when presented with copyright, and rejoice at the discovery that the "right" idea can set them up for life, without having to do honest work, never even asking themselves how is that possible.

@kk alas unfortunately it seems to appear that most many individual people do wish to aspire to at some point somehow manage to be magically transmogrified into an instance of an exemplar wealthy dog.

@Faggot @alex @yuri tfw you follow husk for oil on canvas and a wild steven invades
