Why does everything have to be so weird?

@baldengineer If it wasn't, so many more people would be jobless? The installation that we should all be special and unique? The stamp you bought to mail something that was actually LSD? Everything is actually normal and you're perspectives are weird? Normal can get boring? Deadlines cause people to rush and fabricate "whatever works"? The amount of chaos that occurs within complex structures is greater than the amount of stability? Because Billy in the mailroom at work made his co-workers feel awkward in 1957, and it propagated throughout humanity?

I'm sorry James, despite my efforts to answer this very same question my entire life, all I can give you is hypothesis. If you find the answer, please let me know. 😂

is normally seen as a privilege and not a reason to be afraid. But many people did fear freedom, Ms. Müller commented on the developments in Eastern Europe. The initial euphoria of finally being set free had soon worn off and evaporated, replaced in many places by fear. , she said, “is as complicated as freedom.” Adding momentum, organized fear is at the heart of all authoritarian regimes, which try to literally raise people to be afraid.”

@pj What a thought inducing post. Freedom means you're responsible for your own well being, if you're not accustomed to that, I can imagine that being a shock. I think that's a major problem in free societies today as well, is many citizens refusing to accept responsibility for many circumstances that are within their control. Great post PJ!

@LouisIngenthron that must have been pretty awkward wearing the oxygen tanks with that little gravity. Even with less weight the imbalance is the same.

@nullifidian "I'm gonna go recycling through the park later.. " - me

@mikearpowell I'm sure there were scenarios that would have been justifiable. If you memorize the protocols, you also remember what they forgot to write.

@mikearpowell Alan Shepard.. that's what spawned my original question.

@mikearpowell Yup, I never had "the right stuff". But this is a world of ever falling standards so who knows. 😂

@cyrilpedia I know I'm about to make the WORST argument ever. 😂 Didn't we learn anything from the Terminator franchise or the Matrix?

Now that everyone knows how stupid I am.
Let me turn my lights on.

It shouldn't be called A.I., once perfected, it won't make mistakes at all compared to us. That is just Intelligence with nothing artificial about it. The fact that we confuse emotions and opinions yet we emulate intelligent processes, in fact, makes us the A.I.

@cyrilpedia you can always try typing on both at the same if you need to humble yourself. 😁

Why did the astronauts who landed on the moon, not do more acrobatics?

@trinsec @ahi You know what though, having it in fast in the morning for me is actually kind of cool, because I can open it, and do other things with my hands while getting a quick idea of what's going on in the world.

@obi I'm starting to believe the population of people like us is much higher than I thought. Not just longer, but straighter with less flex and 0 drag. And if it's also modified with a charge like the ezee golf club. Also, the ball breaking the sound barrier won't be a problem in space either. Sometimes it can alter a bullets trajectory.

@inspired I got that, mine too, I appreciate the cleanliness and logic in how, the message is the example of itself. It says those things right in my profile. I perceive it these ways, if it was a rhetorical trick, it was a brilliant one, if it was genuine, it is respectable and both are worthy of admiration.

@inspired Excellent point as well! By beginning the toot with a compliment, it makes the recipient more safe, less vulnerable to attack when introducing the new perspective. I love how your toot demonstrates the very message it's delivering. 😀

@obi you're giving up easily here, I'm 2.4km/s I think is more doable than you think it is. However, the golf club will be stupid looking. The longer the golf club, the faster the club head travels right? By extending the length dramatically and designing the arms of the space suit correctly with full twisting axis. See, Alan Shepard brought a golf club designed for the earth. But on the moon, you're theoretically 10x more powerful. If the equipment is optimized for this, I think it's still doable, but nothing, can slow anything down. Gonna have to go back to the diamond ball, regular will explode on contact.

@obi seeeee this is why you're the golf pro, you think about these things, I just think, the earth is sorta far, go for the driver. 😂 I'm not as concerned about the moon's atmosphere as the Earth's.
