@freemo Very cool! I need to learn me some Haskell one of these days. Clojure doesn't technically have currying out of the box, though I think it does practically.
I actually didn't know Tuple was a named data structure in Haskell, though I believe it is also part of the Python vocabulary.
#Clojure is terrific fun due to the fast feedback of the repl and the culture of simplicity. However, what you may not know is that it can also operate at high efficiency and power-house performance. See async, transducers, and @draganrocks cutting-edge work on numerics that leverage the GPU.
I'm actually torn on this one. PHP is a worse language, but Node is a worse ecosystem. And #Clojure is on the heaven side of the equation, winning in both categories.

TIL that vectors in #clojure can be used as functions.
instead of using `nth`, you can use this.
AH, my constant #regex problem in any language. "This function wants a regex; does it need a full match or any match (find)?"
@yogthos@mastodon.social Very nice! "staying lean" is the mental mechanism I needed, and emphasizing the added power that packages get from the meta-programming and DSL abilities of Clojure is terrific. I need that extension to my thoughts.
#Clojure is built lean, but as you pointed out, it takes conscious effort to benefit and maintain that
cleaned up my #emacs godmode use-package, making proper use of :hook, :custom, and :bind. It's been a long time coming.
Well said! With gradual typing and TDD, #Clojure can easily sacrifice its natural speed for scalability which may not be warranted. Next investigation: how well can those slowing factors be added later, as needed?

The road to over-engineering is paved with scalability.

Are you using or planning a complex #hierarchy of folders for files or #emails?
Please stop doing that and learn why this isn't working that good: https://karl-voit.at/2020/01/25/avoid-complex-folder-hierarchies/

@swiley I have been under the impression that IMAP won't work well offline, right?

Made another sketch with #clojure. I was playing with some ways to make more 'organic' shapes. Added some shapes along the edges and it looks a bit amoeba-like. Used ffmpeg to stitch together an animation too.
