@freemo
This cycling around must have been so wonderful that instead of the usual 16 kms, your 10 miles lasted for 22! <3

@adeptomega@sunbeam.city
Let us know :) is this a small root one or a massive long daikon variety?

@allegrargella@mastodon.bida.im
Va forte tra i giovani. c'è un'intera istanza solar punk, sunbeam.city. Brava gente.

@liliana A user was trying to set something like this up in Oregon, his name is @polydad. Wonder how the project is coming along!

@KnivesOnly @InvaderXan

@delibrarian
Welcome, I'd love to read more about your works, in the future :)

@cscottmills@sunbeam.city
Welcome! Glad there are more and more ecologists around the fediverse!

@adeptomega@sunbeam.city
Are this radishes for roots? I never tried growing them in pot, do they do well?

@Pardofil@mastodon.at
What's your way to go to learn more about them? I have to try to identify them using communities, I learn slowly and is frustruting, in an open field I still don't know a lot.

Share your method, please :)

@bigkafka depends on the POV... the loss of biodiversity, freshwater and topsoil is IMO of a bigger pressure.

Balkan Beat Box

@JovialKarma Ok, I didn't expect this to be... this. But I like it!

@bigkafka Hi,

Mmhm, I wouldn't know how would it be possible to use your (admirable) skills in climate crisis mitigation/adaptation... maybe making tons of money and financiating 'the good guys'? (buying food from farms, helping useful project to help us all...)

If you thought about it long enough, I'd love to hear what ideas did you have to channel your work into helping with climate change problems, really.

#ShareTheMusic for 8/29/18

@Surasanji Yeah, it's nice, then in other songs they get more klezmerish (listening March of The Jobless Corps right now, love the clarinet)

#ShareTheMusic for 8/29/18

@Surasanji I mean, doesn't sound like klezmer, more like drunken music... but it's nice anyway =D

#ShareTheMusic for 8/29/18

@Surasanji I deeply enjoy Klezmer music. The song you linked is really nice, I'll surely look out for more of them.

Thanks!

@MaxDH Welcome here! I'll give a look to the TED later =)

@num_seventy_four Ok,I gave it a read, and I even discussed the possibility with my grandmother, at lunch (she's 75).

Not only she wasn't that impressed, but she is very convinced that martians live amongst us since the '50s, and that on Mars we found some life anyway, so what's the big deal? They have their diseases, of course.

I was *astonished*.

Anyway, the Acknowledgements at the end are awesome =D

Thanks for sharing

@kevfrost I don't know much about how the muslim calendar developed, or calendars in general... can't be of much help, sorry :(

@rnitsch

I'm with @spinflip on this, I don't think the fediverse can be seen as a community. There is not central guidance or line, fediverse is really just the software.

Right now most servers are federated as if it were one, and some main ones have much communication power(that is why many argue that mastodon.social should close registratons), but that is not how it has necessarily to be. I can see easily various islands forming, more or less federated, for many kind of people.

I don't know much about what happened with @wilw , but I wonder what tools do the various platform give to protect "famous" or target users from "mob attacks".

Is there something like that?

Maybe like a negative mute, where everybody is muted and can request to be unmuted?

or..?

@lain
Badly needed. That 5 point star proposed before looks like a wiccan thing, no offence meant for whoever has done it
