@mike805 Thats more or less how I see it. The number of **staunch** democrats I have heard refusing to be willing to vote for Biden is amazing and unexpected (to an extent). Most of them dont seem to like the idea of voting for Trump either. But it very well may make an otherwise close election a win for Trump yea.

@damngoodtech

Well china is oppressive, I mean just look at the chinese firewall. So clearly the best way to fight such oppression is with a USA firewall that blocks all the oppressive countries!

We could save a lot of money if we killed fewer people, just saying.

@alex

I agree with this. But with the caveat, just because its being worked on doesnt mean they will succeed in it, and if they do it may not be in their lifetime. In fact the overwhelming majority of difficult problems are constantly being worked on and people constantly fail and abandon that work. So unless its a fairly straightforward problem to solve you may still have plenty of time.

@i

@LouisIngenthron Fair, semantics matter little to me as long as you know how your using it and what that means :)

@LouisIngenthron

> AI is an algorithm to procedurally generate content.

I would disagree with this definition of AI. You are refering to a specific subset of AI called Generative AI, which is AI that is "creatively" generating content that resembles existing content it learned off of in some sense.

Generative AI is actually a small subset of AI. Most AI is usually trying to pull out patterns from existing data, or predict future data.

@LouisIngenthron

Just to be clear, procedural generated levels is not always AI or ML, and may have nothing to do with AI (often doesn't in fact).

@robryk

Ok, please continue to let me know as you see this both on polls again and on posts. I will reopen the investigation of that on my end.

@peterdrake

@robryk

Thanks, the date lines up that this is legitimate then, ill reopen looking into this.

It only happens with polls so far that you've seen?

@peterdrake

Woot, we brought up a website for my new company with a little bit of information. Hopefully will make the hiring process a bit smoother too.

Naturally our company website also doubles as a based single-user instance.

@freemo @LouisIngenthron "True by definition".

<insert sad Bertrand Russel and Alfred North Whitehead on their 370 page proof of 1+1=2>

Ya know people joke when they say "everyone one of your ancestors got laid, be proud"... That shit actually does motivate me.

@wjmaggos

> I interpreted what you said as saying Dem interests included universal health care. Sorry. That you know a billionaire who wants it does not prove most do.

Then why did you ask the question? Sorry but I think as I said you and most people are clueless about what most billionaires want. I am not claiming I am some expert on the topic, but I will trust that I am far less bias than you in that topic based on how you are speaking.

The math around pharmakinetics of Ozempic/semiglutide (and many drugs in fact) is fun from a mathematics standpoint and not too hard to understand.

Basically it has a 7 day half life, so they dose it every 7 days. So each week the amount in your blood right after an injection is : 1, 1.5,1.75.... approaching 2. Which means after about a month you reach max dose and it naturally levels off. The curve is basically logarithmic if you did the math though.

Its a nice little intro to finite infinite series, a fun topic IMO.

@wjmaggos I didnt say Obama did universal healthcare, I said he lobbied for it. Please keep up. He is not a Democrat politician, just a rich man who spends his money on some political interests of his, one of which was trying to get us closer to universal healthcare. Weather obama listened to him and to what extent I cant say. I cant even say if his own ideas that he may have said behind closed doors were good ones or not.

But to answer your question in no uncertain terms, yes the one billionaire, or near-billionaire I know most certainly not only wants universal healthcare of some kind, he is willing to spend his time and money to try to do it. Which is probably a lot more than most people do to be honest.

@freemo

do the ones you know want us to have universal health care?
