Good afternoon people. Another bird-site émigré here reporting in. Interested in tech, education and politics stuff and lots of other randomness.
@patricia@mastodon.social Huh, master is still the git default when creating a repo. Its only some services like github that have non-standard defaults... It seems new projects created using git on the command line (the way most pros do it) will still tend to use master over main.

Does anyone use a desktop Mastodon client on #Linux?
I'm trying #Whalebird. It has a couple nice features: keyboard navigation mainly (though even that's a bit clunky), and multi-account management. But it feels quite heavy - #Electron to blame maybe - and is pretty limited in customization options.

I took all the domains from https://fediblock.neocities.org/ block list and put it in a csv file that can be imported so you can block all hateful instances.

### How to import
- go to settings
- click on import & export
- click on import
- under import select domain blocking list
- then select the csv file you downloaded
- click upload

@realcaseyrollins Only good solution I can think of is an AI generating a one line summary based on how its used. Could get weird though because the usual trend is first a hashtag trends for some legit meaning and then it trends with people using it ironically. Every hashtag therefore inevitably winds up meaning two things, each opposites of eachother.
