I did a little prototyping on a new layout for my game's character info. Not nearly complete (doesnt show most of the stats yet) but thought I'd share anyway. It at least gives an idea as to the direction im heading in on visualizing some of this stuff with just ASCII.

Some general info:

The game is called AetherMud and it is open-source :opensource: and written in Java :java:

You can find the source code here: github.com/Syncleus/AetherMUD

Dear programmers, if someone asks for help about a paticular language please don't hold it over them. Saying things like:

"Shouldn't you know that?"

Someone could code 6 years in C and have no idea about basic OO principles. If they've done some research and can't make sense of them and then they ask a programming discord, you don't need to shit on them. You can just help them.

TLDR: Shitting on people for not knowing about something you know doesn't make you a better programmer.

Just finished another 10 mi (15.11km) bike ride 🚲 . I slowed down because it was @absolutus 's first time but he kept pretty decent pace (just a bit slower than my normal time) What I really love though is how much my heart rate has improved! 2 months ago I wouldnt have been able to get to the end of the block but now I'm going the distance. Couldn't be happier with my results!

Small update to the TEM mode analysis with example.

I've added in a calculation for the mutual capacitance and self-inductance per unit length of the transmission line.

Goood morning and !

How you doin' today?

Beautiful day here in Tel Aviv. The sun is shining but it isn't too hot. The kind of weather that lends itself to a nap in the shade.

It's also Rosh Hashana! So, Happy New Year and shana tovah to each and all! I hope you have a happy, healthy, sweet new year!

An animated gif of the open-source library :opensource: doing an N-body simulation. The blue dots are low-mass and the red dots are high-mass objects. Its written in Java :java: and runs on the GPU.

I have never met such an interesting, engaging, and inclusive crowd anywhere else on the Fediverse or internet. You give me hope that social media can be a wonderful and enjoyful place, hell even enriching at times.

I love you all keep it up!

Woot! With my latest commit I have officially converted 100% of the codebase to be backed by (meaning any GraphDB, specifically OrientDB in this case). The old system was to just store it as raw JSON on the file system.

AetherMUD is Open-source :opensource: written in Java :java:

It is an MMORPG, text based, and played through telnet/ssh. More info here:
