1. Copy and Paste the Video page address/URL into your mastodon search box, (top left box on desktops) and press enter
2. Click the post that comes up (or user or channel, ALMOST ANY LINK)

and that's it!!
WITHIN Mastodon interface you will see the Peertube video as a post and interface shows you REPLY button to add comment (and other usual buttons from within Mastodon!...)

Advice about how to use Mastodon when adding so many great people ?
Feels like if 2/3 people could stick to each other 'until the end' then at least they could crack those hard nuts... but everyone following everyone yes is good but might even prolong actually being intimate about problems and seeing where inter-politics are rather than more heavy on general conversations with many,
I guess I could delete many of the people I follow... and stick to a few?... maybe then move on like a portable chicken coop?

Mastodon needs to sort this linking to Google out - It's fundamental and very similar to the existence of Mastodon in the first place it seems. So we could avoid pushing links to Google YouTube and at least offer alternatives for our people (PRIVACY BY DEFAULT) and then use originally pasted youtube links as the fallback (we re-route links by default and offer original as backup).
Mastodon and privacy as the the default everywhere if not just for the 100000000's links every day!
You have the stats admin - how many links are click-thrus to Google? And is it our responsibility? ❓

@freeschool I think this is a great idea. Email is one of the most widely deployed communications clients on earth, and probably only second to SMS. I have also been giving thought to how the ActivityPub/ActivityStream client-to-server semantics would map to an email workflow.

Direct Messages are accidentality to self (user forgets to add name or misspells it which is easy to do).
So a symbol or box or exclamation or self note system can show message is just sent to self and not to anybody
Often people think it's sent (but not to anyone else by self so distinguishing can be very useful for catching mistakenly send messages to self)

Add a signal or a bar or flag or something that shows people who are 100% definitely not interested in talking...

otherwise text or drop down category / profile options like this:
-This account is mostly output only
-This account is mostly announce although we say a lot like Aral Balkan... but I/we don't reply to your advances AT ALL
- I don't care for debate at all
- -This account is for show, authors are not really interested / have put aside time to maintain account
- This account is not really interactive despite is being able to be
(of course I assume there are many other things possible and reasons)
But generally speaking if you're account is not really interested or dedicated to chatting online,...
LET PEOPLE KNOW FROM START!!
