I've changed my mind on live debates, and lean more towards them being a waste of time. I understand why with a lot of prep they could be valuable...
That said, in high-stakes issues where people are unlikely to cooperate with their opposition, there's not going to be any meaningful progress made.
If you think a live debate would be useful on a divisive topic, my recommendation would be to at minimum have someone (or a group) do the research to be able to solidly steelman (not strawman) the other side.
But even then, I'm more partial to written/hypertext form than live performances.

Currently I've had ok and bad experiences with you CSB and for now I'm focussing on the good which seems to being a bit more careful and slower for me.
I explained already to you about behaviours so it's covered and also for example you have asked me this question already not so long ago so it might show memory or you're just jumping in fast a bit, perhaps defensive over #NAS (which is fine if it is and not accusing) - I just don't want us to have more troubles.
So in the interest of honesty I'm currently affected [some use of language, saying sorry but doing different / doing same with others creating what I see as unnecessary insults / repeating what you said and sometimes direction of language overall towards negativity or just out of context angry-response stuff [put-downs, name calling, being against things so quickly and strongly]
BUT I could say that it's me and I don't get it for now and need time. And still appreciate what good things.

█ log out, and then log in to see if any difference
█ try a fresh install of same browser using portable / uuzipped version

@Bunnyslope @CSB@noauthority.social I was early into understanding and felt talking about it might be practical for reading or polite to say it as old (NAS1) and new (NAS2)...
but since that entry point I'm not sure anyone is able to go distance in what I want, in almost the 2nd/3rd message server guy asked me if I'm a "corporate journalist" and when I asked if he read my profile he said no because it was too long... so this has set the bar and shows where we're at somewhat as he / people respond to that quick enough and long enough but can't read a bio or previous messages to see I'm not what they immediately call me (oh yeah he also called me a bot and started talking in third person as if I'm the developer of a bot) even with decent people.
While... So even though I'm not sure how to label what I want other than polite reply or even "friendship" and "to do things / fix it ourself" this is just another hole in the tank of humanity which leaks energy and even encourages hate and retribution.
So a bit of context there after initial paragraph which was about being interested in learning about NAS, and not much now. And how good people can be so good in many things, but almost despicable / inhuman themselves encouraging negativity from chasing / projecting incorrectly their FUD (almost like they are new to it) chasing their tale instead of giving people a chance and building since we're all quite anonymous here or should be. And have been for years... But I guess this is not enough and why mainstream can easily take over... still people have not learned to trust people or even test them first. Some people might not even need friends but can make the mistake of creating emotions instead. I certainly didn't appreciate it and any hope I had rebounded.

In other words how much are you worth ? This starts you thinking... It's just an opinion...
Often systems (by people or people higher up in position) deliberately devalue people so they do not compete with them and stay low... systems don't want to give to people and short-change them instead.
I could value you less than someone else even though you do more hours and less work.
Material is valued more than mental-health.
Happiness is hardly valued and could be measured as the judge for changing jobs for the better.
Devaluing nature, for example; asking yourself "how much am I worth" means you can check yourself and find any value is incorrect.
Only because food then we need X number but it's nearly unneeded and manipulated as a system 'could;' make sure ALL people is fed and watered" rather than pay more and more for little and little..
Governments can value things that favour itself- so that is the biggest danger. It could make some people work more than others typically teachers, teachers, doctors etc....
