girl reading this devours

went to my middle schooler's choir recital tonight.

showed up in full goth parent mode, i was like a 00s industrial/EBM kid got a corporate job. my makeup's finally hitting right. i looked amazing

my partner and i were probably the only queer people there. we got stared at like zoo animals and no one sat in our row. like, the entire row. one family group actively left once they saw me. very subtle.

whatever. my kid was thrilled we showed up, so everyone else can...

the best part? the finale was YMCA. yeah.

a 5th grade choir singing a gay anthem about where to find anonymous hookups, while the same parents who'd clutch pearls at two women holding hands were out there clapping and doing the dance like it's sunday service. the same people who'd call us groomers for existing...

the hypocrisy rolled in, did jazz hands, and called it traditional midwestern family values.

goddamn it was hilarious in that, i-laughed-so-i-wouldn't-start-screaming, kind of way.

...i can't wait to move.

This is what their lives make me say without doubt or thinking twice naturally because:

1☑️ they have above average or even super-human determination, undoubtedly needed for their life struggles

2☑️ they have more skills in communication and navigating interaction with life, undoubtedly needed because of simply existing and being more challenged for being different which is tested more often and more often thwarted.

3☑️ they claim their OWN and find their OWN despite being lost in depersonalization and derealization.

1💗 Really happy how I said this post super-quick, but if it can be better / if I missed something as usual let me know!

2💗 I'm new-ISH to people, have met and hung out with 1 or 2 so not totally fresh but I think I prefer their and just self-direction.

Other people next to people don't seem to know why they even exist or have only mode setting, no other switches or / , just for . No or out-of-the-financial-treadmill .

I DON'T HATE 'NORMAL' PEOPLE BUT... THEY BEHAVE BADLY / POORLY...

Didn't want to knock / / people but you can see my profile already that I complained how poor people are in so many departments measurably even without comparing them to anyone! (the speed and communication especially when talking to trans etc people is noticeable / stronger / less doubtful / more accepting of others)

3💗 Even the people I love or my friends over my whole life - VERY poor in many ways, or nice but too limits, too many of those!

This also shows I would be less bias even with the people I do / did like and not just have hate for everyone or to to support trans in a false way.

Transitioning is without doubt the best thing I have ever done for myself. As a young person dealing with psychosis, trauma and autism, claiming my trans identity gave me a way of finding authenticity despite being lost in depersonalization and derealization. I never felt certain of myself during transition, I only achieved certainty by transitioning.

Being trans can be a wonderful healing trajectory for your life to take. To all the politicians saying hollow words about "respecting trans people" today, I want to say that respect starts by recognizing that trans people are who we say we are. When a law denies our truth, you fix the law. #trans #transRights #womensRights
