@marathon0 agreed, but that's the beauty of freedom. They are free to do what ever they want on their own instance. I choose the instance that allows free expression. @geantonicelli
@hasmis Live for you, or for all?
@marathon0 Here, as in qoto, who does not censor. @geantonicelli
@BigDogBo Nice! The Schwarzkopf!!!! I've been known to run that, one mechanical, one digital tho.
@marathon0 Oh, I realize it happens, I just haven't seen a Mastodon instance get blocked by Twitter before. I like to know the why. But that's why we are on this instance, right. No real worries of getting what you say censored 😀 @geantonicelli
@marathon0 Yup, links from all my instances. All work fine. Only other time I have seen links blocked there personally, were from certain porn sites, spam sites, and that NY Post Hunter Biden link. @geantonicelli
@marathon0 Maybe, maybe not. I don't usually like to guess, and would love to get to the truth behind it @geantonicelli

@geantonicelli I wish we knew when it was blocked. That would help a lot. I understand twitter blocks domains that are spam, or illegal content, but I would need to see something major to explain why a whole domain of users was blocked. Maybe the domain itself is more than just mastodon?
@albertcardona This kind of stuff has been around as long as I have, nothing new @freemo @trinsec
@geantonicelli They have been blocking domains for while, gonna read more up on it, and see if I can figure out why they block these https://help.twitter.com/en/safety-and-security/phishing-spam-and-malware-links
@geantonicelli I tried 2 people from that domain and both would not post. I tried a few other domains, and fine. I will have to keep playing with this more. It's become interesting ha
@geantonicelli Oh ok, that's something then. That would also happen if the person on the other end of the DM unfollowed the person sending, I think. Or if the account became banned.
I'm just not sure, from those 2 screenshots, you can deduce that Musk is scared of Mastodon and is blocking all Mastodon links. Although, I do appreciate your 2nd update saying that it was just from one instance (one user). If he was blocking links like that, that would be a major issue in my mind.
@geantonicelli I doubt Musk cares at all or that Mastodon takes up any of his time. Is there any evidence for this claim of blocking links? Or just somebody from one instance saying it? People in general are very bias. If that were to happen to me, and it was true, I wouldn't post it without a screen recording showing that it's true. Makes the claim sound ridiculous without it.
@ambihelical @hartree @lucifargundam @freemo you should be concerned with the creator of mastodon's and the most popular instance too, then.
Why? Because people are different. And instance owners can block any other instance that has content that they personally don't like.
@ambihelical @hartree @lucifargundam @freemo qoto is on joinmastodon too.
@lucifargundam @icedquinn @ambihelical @freemo @hartree 16,00 known peers? I was away for a bit but geez
