As someone with Stage 4 cancer, I was really struck by this quote at the beginning of Mukherjee's "The Emperor of All Maladies:"
"Illness is the night-side of life, a more onerous citizenship. Everyone who is born holds dual citizenship, in the kingdom of the well and in the kingdom of the sick. Although we all prefer to use only the good passport, sooner or later each of us is obliged, at least for a spell, to identify ourselves as citizens of that other place." -- Susan Sontag
@Clementulus Hi, great to meet you. I run a company with a full fledged chemistry lab, though im not a chemist, I am just the boss of one :) But I do have a chemistry lab at home too I use to "play"... so you will find me posting about it some times as well.

I have way too many interests to list them all, but in university I studied #chemistry #classics #theater
These days mostly occupied with my gainfull employment and #parenthood
I'm a lifelong learner to the bone.

The QOTO server gives you 65535 characters per toot, which makes around 36 standard printing pages 
@DrK We have a rule on QOTO... all doggies must submit to the admin of the instance (me) for immediate cuddles and raspberries... no exceptions.
