@huxley So I considered the list of what I could do possibly and then looked at my own situation which doesn't always fit interacting with others about it...

So yes it's blowing crap out the back and maybe restorable to half-good (not much more) but near-nobody would accept or repair this... even if it became new at the end.

Even die hards other than hackers and artists for fun and then realising it occupies space / is crap. I use a broom for example.

So I accept the life it had / state it's in and really deserves to die / not take more space.

It will go to die somewhere unless really some components are like gold inside and worthy of effort.

The place I dump it might have more interested parties. That's being optimistic I know!

Kill is a strong word but if you see war outside and authoritarian states / government, then yes slowly or directly it's a death mindset to kill people off which I consider if it's long-term suffering and deliberate neglect, oppression by leaders.

Don't forget all Governments and it's companies registered to it use OUR EARNED money and OUR CLICKS for the pot of war eventually,so advertising is part of that.

Platforms need to actively filter links AND at push to educate its users and train them not to leak data and usage from platform...

(Invidious filters YouTube for example and many Browser extensions could be listed).

One main reason why Mastodon exists is not to leak things.

Developers and users using google and it's links are leaking and letting Google in to their platform... even simply using YouTube links etc to track them.

Extracting from our bodies towards bigger profits and pocketing it all is war - don't overlook this while people are starving or can't pay heating bills because they have monopoly.

"Measuring" things has of course been a money thing or just a perspective of those that 'value' it (by price usually)...
Money can be good to make a person think more about spending it... but without the logic under than people are likely to fall into 'consumer' roles so that the opposite also happens when petrol becomes cheap, people will feel ok using tons of it.

The question where does Petrol comes from and it's effects are the underlying important analysis / calculation of it's effects.

So what's missing here?

It's the Education from TOP down, not just bottom up.

Because:
Top people want power.
Bottom people want to live (and then maybe power also after that!)

Making things hard to measure I think makes people feel easier about using it (Petrol, Diesel, Oil, #War who knows it's real cost other than FUCKING THE WORLD) but while I don't believe in opposite extreme either of (measuring everything too much or chaining people to it like water etc which they could themselves or be provided for as living beings). I think having education mitigates more of these errors.

But what am I talking about?! It's money first... not saving water 🌊 oil 🛢️ or animals 🐄 or humans 🙍 .

Other than a small window where it looked like or we thought it stopped... it hasn't gone away or stopped...

Literally war and in people's direct way and mindset I think is true to this, and measurably been more part of life (other than that this small window you and I have experienced or just watch everywhere else on TV) in which merely all has been distanced or displaced making war remote and based on whatever reason they like, with middle-men put in place to make it look like war is not really happening or not for us / not by us. As if economics, short-changing and robbing people disappeared...

(It didn't go away after Second World War... merely became all other softer war and economic warfare on it's own people and others).

To allow us to live the way we do (or not live like others oppressed) we follow unknown systems of people who simply make war / are not looking for peace at all.

I wrote something yesterday or day before actually finding myself giving credit to Russians (or any oppressor) from the inaction of... well everyone and winning de-facto almost. All the non-players and chickens (avoiding family or running from conversation in their workplace, to never challenging / pushing back) have all contributed to not building something else if not feed the status quo and pretend it's ok ! So that's why anyone else wins...

It's almost like nobody expects the same to come around again and see no point to work on it... So here it is!

The people's silence / avoidance / irresponsibility / lack of effort has reared it's ugly head and answered us, and in increasingly "more confused as ever" forms!

But still simple to sort out if everyone that comes up against something *actually* spends time to think about solving it (not 0 time thinking about it and wondering why war happens / continues / recreated).

It's about changing / opening your minds...

Currently the problem is that I'm stuck about my audience being unable to read or give time to what needs time and slowly thinking about constantly in the brain or in another words:

1● People are unable / can't / don't want to read long parts of Humanism which ultimately underpins life
and
2● Only want life in short sentences which is dangerously always ignoring or misunderstanding people and life since again people, feelings, communication is not possible or healthy in SMS style messages (like if you were typing in an old phone,. Short Messages System is not enough for life and warming people / uniting people.

So I need some way in between as currently it's like 1 or 0 (or 1 or 2) thinking it's ok for everything in short... is misunderstanding humans not good and only good towards fascism from everything underneath being aesthetically "oh this looks-good and simple" style.

I guess on 1 basic level I just want to make friends and think that is the way to solve thigns better. To heal / balance many things at the same time as everything else, eventually and all with more love if not more healthy and progressive wonder.

To possibly make friends with most of the world (I know all isn't really possible) but most of our interactions assuming and leading to friendship I think is good enough.

So my 'wall of text' here might be the first test to the longer version of myself. It reflects my dedication and human experience that confirms that depth should be OK even 1 step at a time (like a spiral staircase for others to read), so just start anywhere and learn to love what you can (and climb!).

If you think life / Fediverse is just 1 feel-good one-liner or short thing, and not climbing TOGETHER more often, then your cheating yourself and others in life.
This would be ok 'normally' BUT quicker than before it comes back to you if it's without caring in others.

What do I do?

I give people time and I think that's the basic difference (without list of other stuff deeper than that) to others who really don't have or give time and give up on people really easy... (don't mean to be competitive, no put-downs, just I more dedicate time to others and weave us together).

It's currently not measured exactly how many are against Thread and in what way, but there are some outside... and how many people are for I think as it's safe mission' level of change, so Jupiter is right that anything that risk that would naturally make it high ranking for developers or users to consider important... ..since that is why they came here in the first place (also hard to measure other than the evidence they actually signed up to a deliberate and previously more obscure 'thing' which I count as evidence in itself somewhat).

Any "company" or "professional" group determines how aggressive it is according to it's own purpose (normal companies are like a sub-company of government or profit-making outfit and therefore unhealthy).

Mastodon being a much-less-corporate entity makes it way less of any problem because it doesn't aim to take over forcefully (monopolise) and data collect or have vulture capitalism or share with it's 1000 partners and Syndicates ETC ETC

(do you remember in your email checking the box for "Google with it's Syndicates" or seeing in Terms and Conditions... ? )

Much more corporate entities re different in almost all the important ways... which kind of excuse it (even if it less excusable, everything is more harmless if much less corporate)
