@jellycrystals @AmpBenzScientist @freemo Ah yeah the picture link are good, better perhaps for having both sides of razor available but if you have thick hair inevitably might collect under and need think wire to clean out what isn't able to swish in a glass.

I'd get both if you're rich ! Keep one for backup. You pictured handle can be a bit loose after a lot of use as often plastic or had metal part but plastic joins that fail (usually they have plastic screw which wears out or head than can literally fall apart so the barber handle can win longevity here with less parts to strain).

@jellycrystals @AmpBenzScientist @freemo I'd say it's easy or the same, sometimes sharper as it's thin sharp metal as new (it dulls as you use more than once each time depending on your hair thickness and then you can flip sides if it accepts the whole double sided razor at the head (or I forget maybe all you have to break in half). So same kind of logic applies, to go with the skin (flat) rather than digging / chopping style or do small chops/scrapes (quite obvious or natural).
Might even be too sharp at first and just lighter hand needed.

I used thin layer of hand soap before so it's even cheaper and glass of water to swish the blade in as finger wipes are obviously asking for trouble but also wiping the metal can take off it's effective layer each side has (can see has slightly different colour at the edges).

Another pic showing:
- razor (used / old) just to see shape.
- Handle is "Majestic" but quite the generic.
- Brush for cream (I thought it was to posh so used watery-soap to keep it ecological and economical.

Don't ask "How Much?" if you're not willing to pay or sell yourself...

e.g. how much is you son or daughter worth? (this is what the future comes down to, and the answer is "they are priceless / not for sale" when we know the system wants to do everything to make it feel "ok" to sell your time to uncaring people or uncaring chains of leaders extracting from people as much as they can...

@Researchbuzz @robb Hi I'm looking to get my posts out of Mastodon into something offline... do you think this could help... initially I though about the Mastodon export file (JSON) to something like HTML file(s) to get pic and text together, but then RSS is also there to pull it into something... Appreciate your thoughts...

@AmpBenzScientist @freemo The very cheap plastic handle version is worth a shout also, using double sided thin metal 'Gillette' (or similar) semi-reusable / disposables. Seems totally opposite to the one piece but just saying it works...

1 pack of 10 = 20 sides = lot of shaves. Bulk buy = cheap = "for life" stock in big stack.

No maintenance with that (can you say more about maintenance with 1 piece, usually has leather strap on it's box which isn't in your picture but not sure if that does much anyway other than clean mostly and look good occasionally swiping each side of metal fffft fffft !).

It's about control, all of it.

And while some personal control or individual control is needed and good, the problem is global authoritarian control (is bad) because it's nothing but massively orchestrated control, for profit.

Human-orientated development and personal education for the way!... More tech or automation not really needed...

@olives I think even the nice guys are not human-orientated - this is naturally and unnaturally from being such good computer people.. so bringing about humanity means dev's and the whole setup I think need to get aimed and orientated much more towards integrating / educating users or giving feedback which is responded to - rather than just being provided or staying as users only.

As BigTech increases they copy more and more of it themselves while near-0 / less human growth / togetherness happens (personalisation / personal contact) because nobody wants to do it like a salesman / educator for the good and I think everyone need to do it now... we're getting too far ahead and all the tech won't really save that... as users only.

Hope that's not too off-topic.

Short Version: "...going into a boxing match and betting on both fighters..."

Longer version:
"...gave Nigeria their equipment to ferry in soldiers, bombs, ammunition. and other supplies to their front lines. Probably like going into a boxing match and betting on both fighters..."

If you don't do something about the then you might be allowing it...

even if you're neutral...
even if you're not killing...
even if it's just you paying taxes and it's someone else's misspending for war...
you're still letting it happen...

So what can I do?... this is the question, and to do something constantly...

The active solution needed to stop war from happening is to make peace in the world and making friends daily... I think this is possibly the easiest / hardest thing... are the more active position work to put balance back towards the other side of the scales of good by making friends with the world as an active daily plan.

Start with me or someone on the Fediverse... please.

@metin Ah ok... sorry not sure what's happening...
checked again and when I save pic in the post list (without being inside post itself) it's picture size is Kb's but when I open the picture in a new tab and then save it's Mb's!

So try right click picture... open in new tab AND THEN save... see what size you get!)...

@metin I like the simple format of the film reviews... almost scared to scroll any more... and after watching few things myself... I'm asking myself if I want people to remember me or have some story... (!)... watching too much perhaps...

For the record, I don't think angry emails to journalists will move the needle on anything. Arguably it's part of public servant's jobs to tough out a certain amount of feedback, but I still don't think being needlessly inflammatory is productive.

But when you've got a country filled with hurting people from issues that the elite are comfortably isolated from, angry emails and social media comments are the least of your worries. When you treat the public as an expendable resource to be used up, don't be surprised when they respond in kind.

Things won't improve with tone-deaf campaigns like this, things will only get better if leadership improves which is bigger than any one person.

Smart people might be too smart or it's up to everyone to mix it and allow that to happen without big fuss...

@wjmaggos I've long since said that about us here on Fediverse so we can basically making the best of it and get head-start in many ways. So it might not always include totally smart people but those with time are invaluable too. We can sharpen people just by having smart around (no need for hardcore training but a bit of radiation)... but seems even here on Fediverse there are levels and limits to how deep people can go or keep track or be diverse and settle to announcing things more.

So yes I think your right about smart people but obviously a bigger risk for them - for others it's like "oh you're right" and it might be easier than challenging super-detailed stuff (or would need a good arena for that)...

To follow average people's thoughts to the very end might also be good and attract expert comments if not participation.
Otherwise with the many who seem to be in announcement-mode we end up with limited trains and chains of thought or just whatever triggers us. I often find myself doing excellent work, compilations, notes but kinda just for kicks or waiting like a Tetris line to line up with others and get a bigger line of things together.

So I welcome you to reflect you post to yourself if you can accept your smart and find something to do together ( hashtage or my media page for example qoto.org/@freeschool/media).

I think this gathers power (us being the Justice) since most of us are just waiting for others / need credible people to lead / don't know how to achieve here mostly... but hey without generalising I'm focussing on you here purely as that's measurable as a reply and result - because others aren't as active or precise or sometimes similar... or need you or I to start something... but yeah if we can accept others it will be quite easy and interesting...

People can try not to break themselves, blow a gasket, reach boiling point but we can eventually all get some serious mind work done, and that's the first thing in my eyes which leads to everything else... What do you think on this comment / offer as ambiguous or specific- just to "start from here" something?

Happy to text and audio ping pong to basically create our way out and something else since I'm not sure what else is out really there that *actually listens* (and not just produces more and MORE). Advice counter-offers welcome.

@metin Picture is 2500KB / 2.5Mb in size - too big for federating I think (and could be linked to bigger file elsewhere).
It's also a simple drawing so even more reason I think to reduce.

Just saying... Literally pic didn't show / took a while which is how I knew it was big.

Jobs keep people desperate. Needing jobs in the first place that don't exist is a crime and problem in itself... State's that don't care, don't create or pay for jobs!

Jobs keep people desperate.

State doesn't care much and is not into creating diversity / arts / morality / public intelligence... so what job there are left are crap / for money making almost only.

Needing jobs that don't exist is a crime and problem in itself...

People who don't have a job start looking to do things they usually wouldn't (which is probably what they want for cheap labour).
People regularly get cut off in industry when State doesn't fund any more, automates or moves on.

If system doesn't make many jobs / is always cutting or automating it, then this feels like this is the crime and problem itself.

Being so reliant on it for so many things, including a social circle, community, basic respect etc isn't great because if you loose your job, you lose everything.

⚠️ If we took care of people, and not having a job as a condition, it's almost like this might solve crime!

( or solve the crime of actually needing jobs in which the diversity no longer exists / has been cut or phased out! )

JSON to HTML ? (Mastodon Text + Pic to a page / file...?)

JSON > HTML (Text + Pic together)

Can you convert JSON (Mastodon export backup of posts) into something more presentable?

⚠️ cannot export posts to another instance so I can't see my posts if I quit my current instance.

Your post backup is a JSON file but not a human presentable format ( I'm looking for automated way to make it look more like it's original form! ).

Anyone interested in making HTML files (pic + text) for each post? It would have to deal with CW / Read more also.

Thanks
