The fact you can create your own torrent and seed is still quite unprecedented I think
@volkris I have to be honest it's not clear to people from the start that ***Mastodon is on Google*** and as Alternative Software it isn't what they would be reasonably assumed / expect as alternative itself.
Even by those who know a bit more than the average, it's like "oh they actually bother to copy all this as well, faaaaa"
So yes if aware a bit better - They can make the informed decision about whether they use this platform or not, or how they use it with consideration it's on Google also.
AND ADMINS for me are interestingly not doing much...

📞 Ultimately after telephones and #BBS ☎️ became commercial broadband, this was never ours.
And the speed of broadband install and infrastructure (digging roads and how fast we got it) gives indication of that, almost like roads themselves built everywhere and then roads losing their meaning or purpose to help all people. Just think of how much you're spent on line rental (per month!) and how that could be done /shared almost for free now it's paid for (I assume now and a long time ago)...

Messages are not always directed to people directly or all that important (but some are) - so how does one manage that when a person is popular or hits a big topic - more than just block people etc what ways exist to manage that?
Can you block whole threads?
Can mute someone for a specified short time? (so you don't have to manually 'un-block' each person?)
How to manage lots of legit comments and even lots of praise?
