Current Google Doodle is a little JRPG style adventure game with an Olympic theme. ;)

*Snickers at the disastrous result of picking up those printers in 7 Billion Humans*
(At level 17)

Played some Railway Empire again and actually finished the first chapter for a change. I'm still trying to get to grips with its signalling system. I'm used to facing an arcane type signalling like you'd find in Transport Tycoon Deluxe (more specifically, OpenTTD).

But here I have to remember a few things:
- Trains will never collide with each other.
- The trains can see in one go whether a track's in conflict and will simply wait until it is not anymore.
- That means signals don't need to be as detailed as in TTD, they're purely for the efficiency.

I'll continue playing with chapter 2 soon and see if I can do the tracks a bit better.

If you like to read Steam reviews and also like to waste a lot of time, why not play some 'it's ok, i guess'?

My streak is at 16. :P

Took a walk today. During the walk I passed by a mini-library (basically 2 bookshelves in an enclosure, protected against the elements), it was nicely filled with books.

I checked if there was anything interesting and I saw 2 Star Trek novels hidden between other books, I took both. Next time I'll bring some other books that I don't like enough to make up for it. ;)

Oh boo. I got to the endboss again in Caveblazers, but he's cheating! :( I did get a lot further this time, but he has a stage 3 which is basically omnipotent bullshit!

Someday! *Shakes fist*

(It was a great run though! Lots of blessings for my archer! Just the endboss was more OP than I was! :P)

Ah darn. Buddy and me tried to hack the lua files of Ascension in order to play with a higher honor pool.

At first it didn't quite work out until we changed some more code, and then we could play. But we did hit the game's internal limit of 60 honor, so stuff just... stopped working beyond that point. (We've set up for 400 honor initially).

And I had such a great insane card draw too! 😭 60 honor is way too short for some of those decks!

Took sausages out of the freezer... best used before april 2020.

Well, it's still edible. 😅

Heh, a programme on TV that I thought was a standalone movie turned out to be a Murder She Wrote episode. I didn't remember anymore that it was part of that series.

My GitHub is full of release updates of RimWorld mods because of the impending update to 1.3. I probably should check out that game again.

The upcoming DLC is also very much in tune with the current state of affairs in the world with the Ideology expansion. Half tempted to get it, though I see plenty of idealism already IRL. ;)

Mm, what to do now.. have spent most of the day outdoors, gardening, reading, watching a programme on TV. Oh, napping is included as well. So uh.. I suppose I could game now. :P

Pfft, 7 health left... needed to drink something hoping it's a good one.. potion of -20 health.. 😞

So, are people who have ordered a Steam Deck also going to order a Stream Deck? 😜

Apparently it's a madhouse for people trying to buy the Steam Deck all at the same time, heh.

Woh, I'm glad I don't live in hilly terrain. There are gigantic floods over in the province Limburg. Already over 10k people had to evacuate. Belgium and Germany are worse off.

On the other hand, I'm probably now living in a province with the most infections. Thanks, students, for not listening to your common sense when our minister said everything was possible again. (Can somebody fire that minister already? Not the first time he did a blunder. :P)

I think we could use some good news about now.. :P

Oh, let's hope so. Lord of the Rings Online is considering improving its business model.

When the game was still subscription-based, the storyline was good and the gameplay challenging.

After the release of Mines of Moria expansion, the game became free-to-play and quality dwindled with every new expansion. Their Store was very aggressively marketed, it really got annoying. It was sad to see the decline.

I hope they manage to fix that shit and improve the storyline and quests which was my major reason to stop playing. Nobody wants to muck stables or fetch simple stuff anymore near endgame.

Huh, I just stumbled on this:

Didn't know Valve was working on a handheld console which can be docked. (maybe same idea as the Switch there?)

It does look fairly interesting, especially if you have a large Steam library and can use this as a console.

For people who still don't have Syberia I and Syberia II, those two games can be claimed for free at gog.com now!

In my experience, those are very fine point and click adventures with great art and storytelling. I enjoyed them a lot. Just don't bother with Syberia 3...

Learning Japanese in Duolingo seems very... inefficient. It assumes you already know Hiragana while it's teaching you Hiragana. Well, I do already know Hiragana but that's besides the point. It even throws some Kanji in there, I'm not sure this is a good way of learning a new language with their own set of characters.
