That's no problem, there are many native French speakers, and they can do a nice job. Like you can do a nicer job for the Spanish version than me, who never had proper in school course in the language.

Read the page, and send Ca_Gi a DM asap, so they can assign the Spanish job to you.

The first step would be to let the client knows you can do the job, for Spanish. We included his fediverse here in this thread, so he will be notified.

But you can also send a driect message to him/her and offer the help. His/her request was made on Twitter a couple of hours ago only.

They will be glad to receive a help offer.

Makes sense? I still haven't read the guide, but that can also be done after sending a message to them, and waiting for a reply.

If your French is strong enough to handle the translation, they are looking for someone in that language as well.

@jax Here's an actual example of the ping test results. I opened a command line, and used ping to try to contact a system here in North America, where I am, www.gm.com.

And next one farther away, in Japan -- www.yahoo.jp

See the difference in the time to receive a test packet back (or ping back)? 😉

Lower ping latency for gm.com. Mom knew her stuff. 😛

@jax well, ping latency is how long it takes for a small test packet to travel from here, to there, and back.

Sort of like a sonar ping. The longer, the worse our connection is, there's delays along the way.

A closer by system will have lower ping times. Farther away, longer ones, as a general rule.

@Rovine @mngrif @freemo I love a larger screen for reading, but for travel as smaller model is nice, more compact and less weight. My son uses a Dell XPS 13 for all his work, they are nice and well built. He runs linux on it.

Just received a box with my new toy, a Thinkpad X230 travel laptop. Off lease, they are suprising affordable and well built.
