It isnt for no reason.. there is a record of a known nazi bewing pissed at gettingn suspended (snow, and the record is on fediblock where he tried to get us added).

He signed up to our server, posted hatte speech then immediately signed up to tons of other servers and reported it. He also reported it to fediblock. His posts and account were deleted but not before the rumors spread. Luckily fediblock called him out and posted a post of his where he admited he was doing this and encouraged other users to do the same.. so while it didnt work on fediblock the rumors still spread anyway.. ic an dig up the photo evidence for you if youd like.

If you wish us blocked feel free to report any posts we make that are troublesome. At least that way we can suspend any users that are being unkind as well and you make the world a better place.

But you may find you have a very hard time finding any unkind posts on our server as we have a pretty strict policy against that.

@gooseus I honenstly have no clue where that came from... I know the mods well enough to say none of our mods would dare think or say such a thing... if they did I wouldnt let them be mods.

Hey @khird and @trinsec (our two active mods) any idea where that came from? Im sure its a misrepresentation but I'd be curious where they spun that shit off from.

@ner Most of them just lie and make up reasons. A few bad actors spread a few lies about us and they buy it without fact checking in most cases. There really isnt any good reason to block us that I can think of.

@ner A few ways to do it depending on how.. you can go to a user from the instance and click the three dotts next to their name onnt he profile. there you have the opttionn to see their local timelinne.

You can also do it via lists or following/subscribing too.

@radehi I dont mind instances that might suspend us just because they dont like our "style" or anything else that is based on reality... whats so frustrating is the outright lies and misinformation that leads to many people blocking without bothering to fact check.

So I reached out to admins of the few instances that block us with a polite email explaining some of the misinformation spread about us in the pastt and describing the situation in some detail in the hopes it will be resolved.

Luckily nearly all the instances are very small and its not a big deal since our federation footprint remains one of the largest int he fediverse, but I felt it was an effort worth making.

Anyway, seems the drama is already begining and even more flat out lies are getting thrown around be a few:

Luckily despite a few bad actors most of the people I contacted reached out to me in good faith and several seem to be willing to reverse the ban. Lets hope the people who actually bother to fact-check win out on this one.

Before you do I highly encourage you to find a single shred of evidence of the claims against us. Our timeline is public, our rules against hatespeech quite explicit. Please feel free to find a single exception in our timeline.

On the off chance that you do, which I doubt, I assure you if reported any legitimate hatte speech will result in a suspend as it always has.

Only reason we federate with bad actor instances was at the request of our LGBTQ community because of fears to their physical safety if we do, see this post:

As for being nasty and horrible hate speech side of the fediverse, we have pretty aggressive and explicit anti-hate speech rules here. Its no surprise when people throw around that lie about us when asked to point out a single example of hate speech on our server they are unable to find even a single instance of it.

I will handle getting all the emails from the reject list, if you can get all the ones from the other shorter lists and send tthem to me (each on ttheir own line) tthat would help (do it in DM for their privacy)
