@quon This seems a bit hypocritical, not of you, but the community, to think this is unethical.

There is a large group of people who block instances that dont block other instances (for example if you dont block kiwi they block you by proxy). They find this information out many ways but usually they just open an account just to test.

The only difference between what they do and what he is doing is they do it manually and then disseminate the information, he does it automatically.

The way I see it, if the information is public, then he has every right to know it.

@JoshuaACasey I think their app is just buggy and doesnt handle the ActivityPub standard probably (hard coded some things that shouldnt be hard coded).

If youd like i can bring up an instance of it on qoto.org for you and then if it is buggy here i can tweak the code to get it to work for you.

Sadly the twitter exodus seems to be coming to an end. From the peak of 1,333 users per day we are now back down to 322. Before the exodus we were seeing about 100 to 200 new users a day.
